Fabric Card Wallet
By Robin Gallagher, www.robinquiltsetc.com
1 piece of fabric - 4 1/2” x 17”
1 piece of Velcro (I use Fabric Fusion by Velcro)
Lay fabric on ironing board right side face down.
From end 1: Fold up 1/2” - press
Fold up 5/8” - press
Fold up 2” - press
From end 2: Fold up 1/2” - press
Fold up 5/8” - press
Turn fabric over so that the right side of fabric is facing up
From end 1: Fold up 2” - press
From end 2: Fold up 1 1/2” - press
Now fold right sides together matching pressed ends - piece should measure approxi-
mately 4 1/2” x 4 1/2”. Sew down both sides (raw edge sides, not folded ends) using a
1/4” seam. Backstitch at each end.
Turn right side out and then turn the short end over to
create the card pocket.
Center the rough side of the Velcro piece on the inside of the flap about 1/8” from the top
fold. Iron in place. Attach the soft side of the Velcro piece to the rough side Velcro piece
and close the flap. This give you the placement for the soft sided Velcro piece. Iron in
place using high heat and steam.
Your card holder is now complete and has two pockets to hold business cards, credit
cards or loyalty cards.
Enjoy,
