Geographically situated in the heart of Quezon City. Barangay Pasong Tamo is endowed with historical, rich culture and aspirations. The Barangay is the death place of the mother of the Katipuneros, Melchora Aquino or Tandang Sora.

From its humble existence as a barrio and original inhabitants, who shared common culture and aspirations, the Barangay was transformed and nurtured into a self-reliant community through the good leadership and governance.

Originally, an ordinary Barangay in District 2, Area 12 of Quezon City, today the Barangay has become one of the top five (5) Barangays in the four (4) Districts of the entire Quezon City. Among the programs instituted are the moral and valueformation undertaken with the residents to become socially aware and responsible to the needs of the Barangay. Alongside with this, are the various economically empowering measures designed to place the residents in the economic mainstream.

Political reforms have been instituted to unify all sectors towards the developmental goals of the community. These institutional reforms are conceived of mutual and shared responsibilities in the developmental changes in the community. The key factors on its transformation can be summarized into good leadership and socio-economic and political reforms instituted by the previous Punong Barangay Ma. Victoria Co- Pilar.
