授業の目的

対話すること（インタラクション）はなぜ大切なのか，その役割を理解する。

インタラクションを重視した英語学習・指導とはどのような方法なのかを理解する。

＜復習＞インタラクション仮説

インタラクション仮説（Interaction Hypothesis）

- ロングが提案したSLAモデル

（Long, 1983, 1996）

- 言語習得の基本はインプット

- インタラクションはインプットの理解を

助ける！

意味交渉（negotiation of meaning）

→ 相手のインプットが理解しやすくなる

→ 言語理解（言語習得）が促進される

インタラクション重視の英語指導法

注意すべき3つのポイントは，

- 意味交渉が頻繁に起こるインタラクション

→ 豊富なインプット，アウトプットが得られる

- 言語的特徴に注意が向くインタラクション

→ ランゲージング（Languaging）

- 認知的(に複雑)な言語処理を伴うインタラクション

→ × 単に暗記したり，訳したりする

○ 予測したり，推測したりする

インプットだけでなく，意味交渉を含めたインタラクションが必要・重要なわけ

- インタラクションにより，インプット，学習者の認知プロセス，アウトプットが有機的に結び付けられる

1) 気づき（noticing）が生まれる

- noticing the gap

- noticing the hole

2) 注意（attention）が向けられる

3) 言語習得が促進される可能性が高まる

SLA研究で注目を浴びる“Languaging”

- 記述する，説明する，省察するなど，言語を用いて問題解決を行う行為

- インタラクション活動はやりっぱなしだと効果半減

→「振り返り」の機会を持つ

・どんなエラーをしたか？

・どんなフィードバックをもらったか？

・新しく学んだことはあったか？

インフォメーション・ギャップ・タスク

- 対話者間に情報のずれ（information gap）を作り，

そのずれを埋めなければ解決できない課題を設定し，

学習者の活発な言語活動を引き出す。

例）画像描写タスク（picture description task）

- インプットは必要不可欠だが，それだけでは不十分
