我很高兴地宣布，第十四届安永企业家

中国评选活动现已正式接受提名。十几

年来，安永与社会各界一同探索中国语

境下企业家精神的内涵和外延，见证了

一大批来自各领域的中国企业家，以他

们的远见卓识和无畏精神，带领各自企

业成长为行业领导者。

2019年是全面建成小康社会的决胜之年，还将迎来中华

人民共和国成立七十周年。面对当前全球政治、经济形势

的不确定性，中国坚持深化改革开放，通过制度和技术创

新进一步激发市场活力，推动经济高质量发展。在此过程

中，企业需要重构传统上凭借资源红利实现规模扩张的发

展模式，提升产业链地位和核心竞争力，深挖、创造新的

发展潜力。我们还看到，新技术正快速再造甚至颠覆着传

统行业，并催生出一系列全新的产品、服务和商业模式，

要求企业和企业家更准确地洞悉行业趋势，更敏捷地拥抱

引，共同推动中国经济社会的发展与进步。

Foreword

I am very delighted to announce that nominations for the 14th EY Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY) China Awards are now open. For more than a decade, EY has been exploring what entrepreneurship really means in China. We have witnessed a large number of Chinese entrepreneurs whose companies became industry leaders under their great leadership, grand vision and fearless spirit.

2019 is pivotal in building an inclusive and prosperous society, and this year will mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. With current uncertainties in the global political and economic environment, China continues to deepen reform and opening up, stimulating market vitality and promoting high quality development through institutional and technological innovation. In this process, enterprises must rebuild their resource-intensive development models, move up the value chain and explore new development potential. We also see that new technologies are rapidly reshaping and even disrupting traditional industries, and have generated a new range of products, services and business models. It is more pressing than ever that enterprises and entrepreneurs grasp industry trends more accurately, embrace change quickly, and manage uncertainties better.

We are in the midst of a systematic reform in which global and national governance models are being challenged, economic activities redefined, lives reshaped, and mindsets changed. In such era, entrepreneurs have to be visionaries who are sage, discerning about risk, and continue to innovate. We need entrepreneurs more than ever and, in particular, we need their sense of responsibility and missions. Entrepreneurship with its inherent spirit of conviction, pragmatism and perseverance is the epitome of the everlasting commercial civilization.

EY established the EOY award with the vision of advocating entrepreneurship and recognizing entrepreneurs’ outstanding contribution to the economy, society and industries. With the complex macroenvironment and the ever-changing industrial landscape, the 2019 China EOY Award theme this year “Gathering strength for unstoppable growth” is spot on. Further uniting support for Chinese entrepreneurship, celebrating and sharing the success stories of extraordinary Chinese entrepreneurs, and facilitating cross border exchange and dialogues will provide guidance for more enterprises and promote China’s economic and social development.

Created in the United States in 1986, the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year (EOY) program has grown to more than 145 cities in 60 countries and regions, with the program presented to over one thousand of the most successful and innovative entrepreneurs around the world. The China Awards program, launched in 2006, is recognized for honoring entrepreneurs in China who achieve success by combining ability with opportunity. In particular, the Awards recognizes the benefits that entrepreneurs and their entrepreneurial spirit bring to the Chinese economy by creating employment opportunities and enhancing the competitiveness of Chinese enterprises.

EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year Celebrating the world’s best in Monte Carlo

Unlike business awards, which take place at a local or national level, the EOY national winners go on to represent their countries at an international awards ceremony that celebrates their leadership and accomplishments. In all, over 50 national award winners from around the world are presented to a distinguished panel of judges comprising past winners and business leaders to compete for the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year (WEOY) award.

The EOY China 2019 country winners will go on to represent China at an international awards ceremony in June of the following year, in which they will compete for the prestigious title of WEOY. The WEOY awards provide business elites an exclusive platform to network, strategize and plan their next projects.

Mr. Cho Tak Wong of Fuyao Glass Industry Group, the EOY China 2008 country winner went on to be named the WEOY 2009.

Nomination categories

We expect to present awards in the following categories:

The final determination of the categories will be decided based on the quantity and quality of the nominations received. After further deliberation, the judges will select two of the category winners as country winners, representing the mainland China and Hong Kong/Macau regions.

All award winners will be announced at the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2019 China Awards Gala in the early November in Beijing.

For the country winners, the journey doesn’t stop there. They will go on to represent China to meet EY Entrepreneur Of The Year awards winners from other countries and to vie for the title of EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year, at a gala ceremony hosted by EY in June 2020.

How to apply

To be eligible to enter the program, the nominee must be an owner or the manager primarily responsible for the recent performance of the company, and an active member of senior management. The nominee’s company must be at least two years old.

Anyone associated with a successful entrepreneur – professional advisor, customer, supplier, banker, lawyer, employee or spouse – may nominate the individual. Entrepreneurs can also nominate themselves – after all, entrepreneurs know their achievements better than anyone else. All information submitted on the nomination form will be kept strictly confidential and will only be used by EY and an independent panel of judges for the selection process. Only the winners selected by the panel will be announced to the public. A nomination form is attached to the last page of this brochure. It can also be downloaded at ey.com/china/eoy

Independent judging panel

Winners are chosen by an independent judging panel which comprises captains of industry, well-respected leaders from the community, experts from the business and financial sectors, and previous EOY winners. Members of the panel are chosen for their expertise and commitment to entrepreneurship.

How the winners are chosen

After the nominations are received, they are thoroughly screened and evaluated based on the information provided in the nomination form. We then meet with each nominee for a discussion and a report will be submitted to the judges for their deliberation.

The independent panel of judges will decide on the winners after undertaking a rigorous selection process.

争端解决

《中国国际经济贸易仲裁委员会仲裁规则》最终解决。本仲裁条款适用的法

律为中国法律。仲裁地应为北京。仲裁员人数为三名。仲裁程序以英语进行。

仲裁小组无权裁决任何形式的非货币补偿或平等救济，也无权裁决（i）与通用

条款和条件或其他关于争端解决的协定不符的救济，或（ii）可由同一辖区法

Release In consideration of my participation in the Entrepreneur Of The Year Program, on behalf of myself and my heirs, executors and administrators, I hereby release and forever discharge (i) Ernst & Young Group Limited, Ernst & Young (China) Advisory Limited and its affiliates; (ii) the member firms of Ernst & Young Global Limited and their affiliates; (iii) the partners, employees, agents, shareholders, members, representatives, successors and assigns of each of the foregoing entities; and (iv) the independent panels of judges from any and all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any nature arising out of or in any way connected with my participation in the Entrepreneur Of The Year Program, including (without limitation) any information or materials submitted in connection with this nomination; any information/background checks conducted in connection with my participation in the Entrepreneur Of The Year Program; any events, ceremonies or promotional activities

Use of photo, etc.If I am selected as a regional or national finalist or award winner, I hereby give Ernst & Young Group Limited, Ernst & Young (China) Advisory Limited and its affiliates and the member firms of Ernst & Young Global Limited and their affiliates, and those acting on behalf of each of the foregoing entities, the non-exclusive and transferable right, but not obligation, to use, edit, publicize and reproduce freely my name and other likeness, including, but not limited to, picture, portrait, photograph, film, videotape, recordings of my voice or any written statements that I provide in connection with the Entrepreneur Of The Year Program, including, but not limited to, the development and publication of marketing materials, promotional publications, media publications and coverage, videos and other materials, whether such items are intended for an internal or external audience. I agree that no compensation shall be due me or my company for such usage.

Limitation of liabilityIn no event will Ernst & Young Group Limited, Ernst & Young (China) Advisory Limited and its subcontractors, the member firms of Ernst & Young Global Limited or the independent panels of judges be liable to me, the company or any affiliates (or any respective successors or permitted assigns) for any consequential, incidental, indirect, punitive, exemplary or special damages (including loss of profits, data, business or goodwill) in connection with the Entrepreneur Of The Year Program, whether or not liability is based on breach of contract, tort, strict liability, breach of warranty, failure of essential purpose or otherwise, and even if any of them is advised of the likelihood of such damages.

DisputesAny controversy or claim arising out of or relating to my participation in the Entrepreneur Of The Year Program shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration administered by China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) in Beijing pursuant to the CIETAC Arbitration Rules in force at the time of the filing of the Request for Arbitration. The law of this arbitration clause shall be the law of the People’s Republic of China. The seat of arbitration shall be Beijing. The number of arbitrators shall be three. The arbitration proceedings shall be conducted in English. The arbitration panel shall have no power to award non-monetary or equitable relief of any sort or to award or impose a remedy that (i) is inconsistent with these General Terms and Conditions or any other agreement relevant to the dispute; or (ii) could not be made or imposed by a court deciding the matter in the same jurisdiction. I expressly waive any right that I might otherwise have to obtain such damages in arbitration or in any other forum. The result of the arbitration shall be binding on the parties, and judgment on any arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction.

RevocationI understand that an Entrepreneur Of The Year Award and my ability to hold myself out as an Entrepreneur Of The Year Award winner are subject to revocation and termination if I have engaged, or am alleged to have engaged, in actions that would reflect adversely on the program.
