On Sunday, April 8, 2018, Pastor Terry Weyman and

Dr. Milton and Norma Harrington for 70 years of minis-
try.
Rev. Michael and Rev. Hope McCants, co-pastors of our
Florence A New Start International Church, reported
that on March 24, 2018, there was a celebration of 31 years
of ministry impact of the Florence St. John Church of the
Nazarene. Florence St. John was organized in 1987 and merged with Florence First in 2006
at which time the name was changed to Florence Family Life. More than 50 people were in
attendance at the celebration service. Beverly Sipp, widow of the founding pastor, Rev.
Eddie D. Sipp, and co-founder of the church, brought the evening message. Pastor Michael
McCants said, “It is through the ministry of St.
John that Florence A New Start International
stands.”

Vision 20-20
MAY – MISSIONARY CARE Many churches like to participate in Missionary Health Care (MHC) by presenting Distinguished Service Awards (DSAs) and Memorial Roll (MR) certificates, and we appreciate that participation. By doing so, your church helps provide much-needed health care for Nazarene missionaries. We offer a few pointers that should make ordering proceed with as few glitches as possible. Order Early. If your church presents MHC certificates on Me-
morial Day Weekend (or any time within the month of May), order them as early as possible. Doing so will allow orders to be filled and returned in a timely manner. Gener-ally over 1,200 MRs and DSAs are processed in May alone!
Follow Instructions and Guidelines Carefully. Online order-ing provides the instructions during the order process. For orders by mail, there are clear guidelines and instructions for DSAs at: www.nazarenemissions.org/10000/story.html and at www.nazarenemissions.org/10001/story.html for MRs.
Double-check all spelling. Verify the honoree’s name, even if it is someone you have known for years.
Order Online with a credit card. Allow 5-10 business days for delivery.
Use Recent Order Forms when ordering by mail. They are available on the Web pages listed above. Allow 3-5 weeks for delivery when ordering by mail.
Check the Status after sufficient time has passed (using the
time frames listed above). The person ordering the certifi-cates should note when to expect them. If the order doesn’t arrive by then, please contact the NMI office (phone: 913-577-2970; e-mail: [email protected]) to guarantee on-time arrival.
Check the MR/DSA History to view who has been honored with a DSA or MR certificate: http://app.nazarene.org/NMICertificate. Clear, concise instructions are available on that page.
Medical Plan Plate Offerings. Through freewill offerings (often taken in May), the entire congregation can lend a hand for the medical needs of our missionaries. All money given to the Medical Plan is used directly for Nazarene missionaries' health care and may count as 10 percent credit for your church. None of the money is used for ad-ministrative costs. Unfortunately, not enough money is cur-rently being raised by Missionary Medical Plan giving to pay for all of the health care costs of Nazarene missionar-ies. So, World Evangelism Fund monies are used to pick up that slack.

We are grateful for your participation in Missionary Health Care. The missionaries are blessed time after time for what you do! Rachael Watts Missionary Health Care
Last month the 681 active JESUS Film
teams working around the world reported
that 49,085 more people had come to
Christ through their ministry.
Most of our partners understand that the
JESUS Film remains relevant and effective
for Kingdom building, but most don’t have a chance to realize the JESUS Film is more effective today
than it was 20 years ago when JESUS Film Harvest Partners began funding teams!
During the first five years of the ministry, JESUS Film teams reported 14% of all the people who viewed
the film went on to make a decision for Christ. In the last five years, that number has increased to 23%.
Isn’t it just like our God to do something as surprising as this?
