The component SDI kit <VIDEO> BKM-101C is designed to be installed into amonitor alone. And it can be installed withthe component SDI kit <AUDIO> BKM-102also.This Installation Manual explains how toinstall BKM-101C and BKM-102.

NoteSoldering is required for the installation of thiskit. Please prepare a soldering iron and solder.

Installation

1 Remove the rear cover of the monitor.

Remove 10 screws.

3 Pull out the connector panel.

2 Remove the G board and attach it again asthe illustration.

4 Insert the BA board into the SDImodule.

Use the 30-pin flatcable with themetal side facingup.

5 Install BKM-102 (BA board) in the SDImodule of BKM-101C.

1 Remove the cover of the SDI moduleand connect the supplied connectingcables.

2 Attach the supplied ferrite core (small)to the connecting cables.

NoteKeep the ferrite core away from the SDImodule by fastening the connecting cableswith the cable clamp attached to the SDImodule.

3 Remove the cover for the BC board anddesolder the jumpers (black) at C361and C365 on the BC board. Thenreplace the cover.

Installation

6 Connect the SDI module and the suppliedBB board to the monitor board.

• Monitors indicated in the table"Monitor list 2" on page 3.

• Monitors not indicated in the tables"Monitor list 1" and "Monitor list 2"on page 3.

See page 8 for monitors indicated in the table"Monitor list 1"

1 Desolder the jumpers (black) at JR310and JR311 on the BB board (side B).

2 Connect the connector of the supplied3-pin connecting cable to the CN10terminal (white) on the BB board (sideA).

5 Insert the 30-pin flat cable connectorinto the CN5 terminal on the BV board,and secure the BA board using thesupplied 4 screws with BKM-102.

6 Connect the CN1 terminal on the BAboard to the CN3 teminal on the Bboard, and connect the CN2 terminal onthe BA board to the CN4 terminal onthe BV board, using the connectingcables supplied with BKM-102.

7 Position the connecting cables to theside of the board.

8 Attach the cover of the SDI moduleusing the 8 screws removed in step 1.

3 Connect the CN9 terminal (grey) on theBB board to the CN303 terminal (grey)on the monitor board.

4 If your monitor is not indicated in thetables "Monitor list 1" and "Monitor list2", solder the end of the lead wire ofthe 3-pin connecting cable (type A) toTP302 on the monitor board.If your monitor is indicated in the table"Monitor list 2", you do not have tosolder it, just connect the 3-pinconnecting cable (type B) to the CN505terminal on the monitor board.

Notes•The shape of TP302 is different according to

the monitor board.•Apply solder quickly because other parts

maybe weakened due to excessive heat.Take care not to solder other parts.

5 Connect the 12-pin connector of the SDImodule to the CN8 terminal (white) ofthe BB board, and connect the 6-pinconnector of the SDI module to theCN607 (white) on the power board.

Installation

Monitors indicated in the table"Monitor list 1" on page 3

1 Desolder the jumpers (black) at JR310and JR311 on the BB board (side B).

2 Connect the connector of the supplied3-pin connecting cable (type A) to theCN10 terminal (white) on the BB board(side A), and connect the connector(red) of the supplied 12-pin connectingcable to the CN11 terminal (red) on theBB board (side A).

3 Peel off the adhesive tapes of thesupplied spacer (top and bottom), andthen stick the spacer and BB board inthat order to IC404 on the monitorboard.

4 Connect the connector (white) of the12-pin connecting cable to the CN303terminal (white) on the monitor board.

5 Solder the end of the lead wire of the3-pin connecting cable (type A) toTP302 on the monitor board.

Notes•The shape of TP302 is different according to

the monitor board.•Apply solder quickly because other parts

maybe weakened due to excessive heat.Take care not to solder other parts.

6 Connect the 12-pin connector of the SDImodule to the CN8 terminal (white) onthe BB board, and connect the 6-pinconnector of the SDI module to theCN304 terminal (white) on the monitorboard.

Fasten the cables fromthe SDI module withthe cable clamp.

NoteTake care not to touch the pins of theterminals.

7 Install the SDI module in the monitor.

For 14-inch monitors

1 Remove the cable clamp from themonitor and then the monitor cable.

2 Attach the supplied holders (white).

3 Fasten the 2 cables from the SDImodule with the attached holders from2.

4 Fasten the monitor cable (connected tothe CN401 terminal) and the cable fromthe SDI module (connected to the CN8terminal on the BB board) with thesupplied cable clamp (black).

Pull the SDI moduleback (to theconnector side), andfasten it with screws.

9 Install the G board (removed in step 2) asit was.

For 20-inch monitors

1 Fasten the 2 cables from the SDImodule to the monitor with theinstalled cable clamps.

2 Fasten the monitor cable (connected tothe CN401 terminal) and the cable fromthe SDI module (connected to the CN8terminal on the BB board) with thesupplied cable clamp (black).

Push the SDI moduleforwards (to the display side),and fasten it with screws.

8 Fasten the cable (connected to the CN304terminal) to the monitor with the installedcable clamps.

11 Fasten the cables to the G board.

12 (for only 14-inch monitors)Hold the cables (removed in 1 from step7) of the monitor using the cable clamp ofthe SDI module.

13 Make two holes for connectors of the SDImodule on the rear cover of the monitor,and stick the connector label beside theholes.

14 Replace the rear cover of the monitorusing the 10 screws removed in step 1 sothat the SDI connectors expose from therear cover, and fix them with the suppliedscrews.

フェライトコアがSDIボードからできるだけ離れるよう、SDIボードにあらかじめ付いているパースロックを使って接続ケーブルを留めてください。

3 BC基板のカバーをはずし、BC基板のC361とC365に付いているジャンパー（黒）をハンダごてを使って取りはず

す。その後、カバーを元どおり取り付け

る。

6 SDIボードと付属のBB基板をモニターの基板に接続する。

8 手順1ではずしたネジ8本を使ってSDIボードのふたを取り付ける。

6 BKM-102に付属の接続ケーブルで、BA基板のCN1端子とBV基板のCN3端子、BA基板のCN2端子とBV基板のCN4端子を接続する。

7 線材を、基板のはしに押し込んで整理す

る。

5 3 0ピンフラットケーブルをB V基板のCN5端子に差し込み、BA基板をBKM-102に付属のネジ（4本）で留める。

4 「モニター一覧1 」と「モニター一覧2」に記載されていない機種では、3ピン接続ケーブル（Aタイプ）のリード線の先を、モニターの基板上のTP302にハンダ付けする。「モニター一覧2」の機種は、3ピン接続ケーブル（Bタイプ）のコネクターをモニターの基板上のCN505端子に差し込むだけで、ハンダ付けは不要です。

ご注意

• モニターの基板によってTP302の形状が異なりますので、注意してください。

• 基板上の部品は熱に弱いため、ハンダ付けはすばやく行ってください。また、他の部品にハンダが付かないように充分に注意してください。

3 SDIボードのケーブル2本を2で取り付けたホルダーで固定する。

4 モニターのケーブル（CN401端子に接続された）とSDIボードのケーブル（BB基板のCN8端子に接続された）を、付属のパースロック（黒）で固定する。

8 SDIボードのケーブル（CN304端子に接続された）をモニターに取り付けてあるパースロックでまとめる。

20インチモニターの場合

1 SDIボードのケーブル2本を、モニターに取り付けてあるパースロックで固定す

る。

2 モニターのケーブル（CN401端子に接続された）とSDIボードのケーブル（BB基板のCN8端子に接続された）を、付属のパースロック（黒）で固定する。

SDIボードを前（ディスプレイ側）に押して、ネジで留める。

ご注意

部品の取り付けや配線の引きまわしは、取り付け前と同じ状態にしてください。

12（14インチモニターのみ）SDIボードの配線止めでモニターのケーブル（手順7の1ではずした）を固定する。
