Dear Mrs. DeCelle

Congratulations on being nominated and selected by the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge Broward County Chapter in the category of Teacher/Administrator who positively impacts students, parents, the county, and your community. We hope that you are as excited as we are; a member of the Broward County Chapter nominated you for this award. However, a local panel of distinguished judges chose you as our award recipient from thousands of recommendations.

This esteemed award will be presented at 8:30 A.M. on Monday November 2, 2015 at Tropical Elementary (located at 1500 SW 66th Ave, Plantation, FL 33317) in the auditorium. We hope that you will be able to invite your mentors, former parents and students so they can help you celebrate being a recipient of the George Washington Honor Award. After your introduction and the presentation of the award, we would like you talk about your altruistic nature and the events that gave rise to your award.

As your accomplishments are so impactful, it is our honor to submit you for the National Award, which is the George Washington Honor Medal. We believe that your commitment to go above and beyond the call of duty for your students, co-workers, administrators, and the community should be recognized and valued by all. Amy your high-energy, creativity, and altruistic nature is engaging and inspires those around you, proven by your 17 successful years educating our youth, socially, cognitively, and emotionally. Your effectiveness and leadership in the community has not gone unnoticed and your devotion to help create a socially and academically successful environment through “Acts of Kindness” is commendable and very innovative.

You and one other person will be our guest to the 43rd George Washington Birthday Gala on Friday February 19, 2016. We would ask you to invite family and friends to attend and we will send out more information on this in the future.

If you have not already done so, you may want to check out the national web site at www.freedomsfoundation.org.

We look forward to seeing you soon and to formally recognizing you for your outstanding contributions to our country.

Sincerely,
