The new preloaded patch panel is specifically designed for installation in data centres where the high density, angeld design for improved patch cord management and enhanced installation benefits of the patch panel meet the key requirements for implementation.

The patch panels are preloaded with LC adaptors and are available in medium and high density versions. The medium density patch panel provides 48 LC connections, while the high density version has 96 LC connections. Singlemode and multimode versions are available.

The angular shape is matching the shape of the Nexans copper V-shape panel. This shape is perfectly suited to guide the patch cords horizontally to the side of the panel.

The newly developed tray of the patch panel can be removed from the rack completely to ease installation of direct terminated or spliced fibre and faster installation of Pre-Term fibre. The preloaded patch panel has extended rear cable management with multiple entries to provide maximum flexibility. It accommodates both cable glands and tie wraps for strain relief of the cables. The cable gland sizes are 20 mm (8x) and 25 mm (2x). For improved fibre management the fibres can be arranged in 4 separate loops for added flexibility and organisation. The support bases and the rings for these 4 loops are included as standard. The patch panel tray has multiple, specially designed, slots at the rear to fix the cable glands of Nexans’ pre-terminated cables. There is ample space inside the patch panel to organise the flexible fan-out of the pre-terminated cables. Up to 4 splice cassettes (N890.090 and N890.091) can be installed inside the tray of the patch panel. Only one cover (N890.092) is required to close the splice cassettes at the top. The bottom splice cassette is fixed with screws to the tray of the patch panel. Splice cassettes are fixed with hinges to the cassette below and with such an installation the splice cassettes can be lifted and tilted for improved access to the splices inside the patch panel. This facilitates the inspection of the splices after installation. Each splice cassette for heat shrink protection (N890.090) can accommodate 12 splices allowing a maximum of 48 splices for the complete patch panel. The splice cassette for aluminium protection (N890.091) has a maximum of 24 splices resulting in a maximum of 96 splices per patch panel. N890.091 can only be used with maxistrip pigtails and cables with 250 um fibres. Splice cassettes are not included in the patch panel and must be ordered separately.

Panels are fully painted in black for a professional look and feel.

The operational position when the trays are completely in the rack.•The patching position when the tray is moved forward by 75 mm. This allows easy access to the patch cords.

The installation position when the tray is almost completely out of the rack. This allows installation of the ENSPACE modules from the front with access to the rear of the ENSPACE module.

The Nexans' ENSPACE concept is designed for data centres where the high density, integrated patch cord guides and enhanced installation benefits of the ENSPACE patch panel meet the key requirements for implementation. It allows quick changes with limited down time, easy migration to other applications and a transition path to 40G/100G.

The LANmark-OF ENSPACE system consists of 3 sub-components: Pre-Terms, modules and patch panels.

The Nexans’ unique ENSPACE patch panel design has 3 sliding trays within 1U. Each tray can have up to 4 ENSPACE modules. The panels can accommodate within 1U up to 12 modules allowing 144 LC connections when modules with LC adaptors are used. With LANmark-OF ENSPACE MTP adaptor modules 72 MTP connections within 1U can be installed. ENSPACE modules need to be ordered separately.

The ENSPACE Patch Panels are available in 1U, 2U and 4U. The panels are designed for installation inside 19 inch enclosures.

The newly developed tray slides have 3 locking positions.

The sliding trays have printed letters to identify the individual trays. Additional side grips on the left and right enhance the pulling forward of the tray.

The LANmark-OF ENSPACE Pre-Terms are fixed on a separate, sliding and tilting tray in the rear of the panel. For installation of the cables the tray can be slid out of the patch panel by about 15 cm. This allows easy access to the fixing points for the cables without being in the small space formed by the panel above and underneath in a high density rack. On this tray 2 cable fixing kits can be mounted. The slots are suitable for a PG-13 cable gland. The orientation of the fixing kit can be modified to allow for side, angled or rear entry. An optional third cable fixing kit can be installed on the tray as well.

The patch panel is optimised for installation of the LANmark-OF ENSPACE Pre-Terms: the cable gland of the Pre-Term allows a fast and solid fixing of the cable.

There is ample space inside the patch panel to organise the flexible fan-out of the Pre-Terms, including the additional fan-out overlength required to allow the individual trays to slide to the patching or installation position.

A labeling front sits in front of the modules. It can rotate almost 180° even when ENSPACE patch panels are installed underneath. This facilitates port identification when the panel is mounted at the top of the rack.

Panels are fully painted in black for a professional look and feel.

The total depth of the panel is 526mm. The panels are delivered with the labeling front projection 129mm in front of the rack vertical. The rear of the panel is 397mm recessed compared to the rack vertical. The position of the panel inside the rack can be changed with adjustable side brackets. It can be moved backwards compared to the rack vertical by 37.5mm or forward by 37,5mm or 75mm.

The patch panels are preloaded with either quad LC adaptors or duplex SC adaptors. Singlemode and multimode options are available.

The preloaded patch panels are available in medium and high density. The medium density patch panel provides 24 SC or 48 LC connections, while the high density version has 48 SC or 96 LC connections.

The newly developed patch panel chassis has multiple specially designed slots at the rear to accept the Nexans' pre-terminated cables. This chassis also allows the incomming fibre to be managed in a number of ways for added flexibility.

A specially designed fibre organiser facilitates the fibre management inside the patch panel. The fibre organiser consists of spindles which are pre-installed when using pre-terminated cables or for direct termination on site. For 48 fibres one level with 2 spindles are provided. For 96 fibres 2 levels of spindles with a total of 4 spindles are preloaded.

Splice cassettes and cassette covers are pre-installed for terminations with pigtails. For up to 48 fibres, splice cassettes for heat shrink are pre-installed. For more then 48 fibres splice cassettes for Aluminum protection are provided. Pigtails and splice protectors are not included.

The front plate can be fixed at various depthsflush or sub-flush. This provides maximum flexibility for patch cord management.

The panels are LANsense upgradeable. This unique feature provides a high level of flexibility for future upgrades without the need for an immediate investment.

The standard frontplate can easily be upgraded to a LANsense PCB plate without the need for any removal or re-termination of the installed cabling. This upgrade adds a detection contact to each cabling port and an I/O connector so that the panel can be connected to the LANsense system.

The Nexans' Plug and Play concept is specifically designed for installation in data centres where the high density, integrated patch cord guide and enhanced installation benefits of the patch panel meet the key requirements for implementation.

The Nexans unique patch panel design allows to hold up to 4 MPT modules or adaptor plates in 1U of the distribution rack. Depending on the type of the module a high density of up to 96 fibre connections can be accommodated.

The new patch cord guide sits in front of the modules and allows the patch cords to be managed within the same 1U saving expensive rack space. The patch cord guide also provides a labelling facility to identify connections. Additional labelling is provided by printed port numbers on the modules.

The newly developed tray slides and tilts for improved access to install new modules and adaptor plates.

The patch panel is optimised for installation of the LANmark-OF MTP/MTP or SC/LC Pre-Term Trunks. The cable glands of the Pre-Term allow a fast and solid fixing of the cable. There is ample space inside the patch panel to organise the flexible fan-out of the Pre-Term.

The LANmark-OF Fibre Organiser (N890.070) fits in the patch panel to facilitate the installation of the SC/LC Pre-Term.

The various modules of the LANmark-OF Plug&Play modules (e.g. N441.5L24LC4FS and N441.4L12LC4FS) can be easily fit in the patch panel.

Panels are fully painted in black for a professional look and feel. Blank fillers (N441.2MBP) are available as separate accessories for unused positions to give a finished look.

The new pre-loaded patch panel is specifically designed for installation in data centres where the high density, integrated patch cord guide and enhanced installation benefits of the patch panel meet the key requirements for implementation.

The patch panels are pre-loaded with SC or LC adaptors and are available in medium and high density versions. The medium density patch panel provides 24 SC or 48 LC connections, while the high density version has 48 SC or 96 LC connections. Singlemode and multimode versions are available.

The new patch cord guide sits in front of the adaptors and allows the patch cords to be managed within the same 1 U saving expensive rack space.

The patch cord guide also provides a labelling facility to identify connections. Additional labelling is provided by printed port numbers on the adaptor plate.

The newly developed chassis of the patch panel can be removed from the rack completely to ease installation of direct terminated or spliced fibre and faster installation of pre-terminated cables. The tray tilts and slides for improved access to the installed fibres for inspection.

The pre-loaded patch panel has extended cable management with multiple entries to provide maximum flexibility. It accommodates both cable glands and tie wraps for strain relief of the cables. The cable gland sizes are 20 mm (8x) and 25 mm (2x).

For improved fibre management the fibres can be arranged in 4 separate loops for added flexibility and organisation. The support bases and the rings for these 4 loops are included.

The patch panel chassis has multiple, specially designed, slots at the rear to fix the cable glands of Nexans’ pre-terminated cables. There is ample space inside the patch panel to organise the flexible fan-out of the pre-terminated cables.

Up to 4 splice cassettes (N890.090 and N890.091) can be installed inside the tray of the patch panel. Only one cover (N890.092) is required to close the splice cassettes at the top. The bottom splice cassette is fixed with screws to the chassis of the patch panel. Splice cassettes are fixed with hinges to the cassette below and with such an installation the splice cassettes can be lifted and tilted for improved access to the splices inside the patch panel. This facilitates the inspection of the splices after installation.

Each splice cassette for heat shrink protectors (N890.090) can accommodate 12 splices allowing a maximum of 48 splices for the complete patch panel. The splice cassette for aluminium protectors (N890.091) has a maximum of 24 splices resulting in a maximum of 96 splices per patch panel. N890.091 can only be used with maxistrip pigtails and cables with 250 um fibres.

Splice cassettes are not included in the patch panel.
