Entering data in planning forms

• Hyperion Planning data may be entered into base periods or summary periods.

• If data is entered in base periods, Planning will accumulate the data to the summary periods; if entered into summary periods, Planning will distribute (spread) the data to the summary periods.

• Planning can be set to spread the summary data evenly to the base periods, or spread the summary values based on a calendar’s weekly distribution in a quarter, such as 4‐4‐5, 5‐4‐4, or 4‐5‐4.

• This spreading functionality is available whether the form is access through the web interface or through SmartView.
