There are two pillars of Hajj

: 1) The first pillar of Hajj is the standing at Arafah, even for amoment. The time of standing at Arafah begins when the sundeclines from the meridian on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah until the nextdawn, which is the 10th of Dhul Hijjah.

: 2) The second is to perform Tawaaf al-Ziyarah (also known as

Tawaaf al-Ifadah) around the Ka'bah seven times. And performingthe majority of these seven circuits satisfies the completion of thepillar.

They are eight necessities of Hajj:

: 1) The first necessary element is the standing at Muzdalifah

even if it is only for a moment. Its time is after the true dawn

on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah until the sky is very bright.

: 2) The second is to go between the Safa and Marwah seven

times (known as sa'iy). One is to begin at Safa and end withthe Marwah.

: 3) The third is the stoning of the sites (Jamarah) during the

days of Nahr and Tashreeq.

:, 4) The fourth is Tawaaf as-Sadr (also known as Tawaaf al-

Wada) which is Wajib upon other than those who reside inMakkah. Some scholars held that it is Sunnah, not Wajib.

: 5) The fifth is to shave or cut the hair.

: 6) It is Wajib to adopt the Ihraam from one of the Miqaat

sites.

: 7) It is Wajib to uncover the head and the face for males.

: 8) The eighth necessity is not to wear stitched clothes, for the

garments of Hajj must be seamless containing no sewing in

them.

The Sunnan Of Hajj

There are many Sunnan acts during Hajj:

The major bath (ghusl) is Sunnah when the pilgrim intends to enter Ihram.

To wear to new clothes known as Izar (waist rapper) and Rida (cloak).

Thereafter to perform two Rakah of Sunnah prayers. To pronounce the Talbiyah many times with an audible voice.

The Tawaaf al-Qudoom (arrival).

Three types of Tawaaf:1) Tawaaf az-Ziyarah or Tawaaf al-Ifadah

FARDH (obligatory)

2) Tawaaf al-Wada or Tawaaf as-Sadr (farewell) WAJIB (necessary)

3) Tawaaf al-Qudoom (arrival)

SUNNAH
