كيفيت االستنجاءHow to Perform Istinja

وكيفية االستنجاء أن يمسح بالحجرThe procedure of Istinja is as follows:

األول من جهة المقدم إلى خلف1) To wipe with the first stone from the front part through to the rear

وبالثاني من خلف الى قدام 2) From the rear to the front.

وبالثالث من قدام الى خلف3) From the front to the rear.

إذا كانت الخصية مدالة If the males scrotum is hanging loosely.

وإن كانت غير مدالة يبتدىء من خلف الى قدام

If however, the scrotum is not hanging loosely, then one is to begin from the rear to the front.

والمرأة تبتدىء من قدام الى خلف خشية تلويث فرجها

The female is to begin from the front to the rear, for fear of defiling the vagina.

ثم يغسل يده أوال بالماءAfter wiping, the male is to first wash his hands,

ثم يدلك المحل بالماء بباطن إصبع أو إصبعين أو ثالثة إن احتاج

thereafter, he is to rub the soiled area with water using theinside of his fingers, two fingers or three if needed.

ويصعد الرجل إصبعه الوسطى على غيرها في ابتداء االستنجاء

The male is to raise his middle finger over the other fingers at the beginning of Istinja.

ثم يصعد بنصرهAnd thereafter is to raise the ring finger forward.

وال يقتصر على إصبع واحدةThe male is not to restrict the cleaning to only one finger.

والمرأة تصعد بنصرها وأوسط أصابعها معا ابتداء خشية حصول اللذة

The female is not to raise her ring finger along with her middle fingers simultaneously at the start of Istinja for fear of being sexually aroused.

ويبالغ في التنظيف حتى يقطع الرائحة الكريهة

One is to perform the utmost in cleaning until the foul smell is gone

وفي إرخاء المقعدة إن لم يكن صائماThough this relaxation of the buttocks is performed provided on is not fasting.

فإذا فرغ غسل يده ثانياWhen one finishes from cleaning the soiled area with water, the hand is to be washed for the second time

ونشف مقعدته قبل القيام إذا كان صائما

The buttocks are to be dried before standing if the person is fasting
