Smoking التدخين

Electrical Appliances / Extension Cords / Decorations االدوات الكهربائية

Open Flame النار المجردة

Excessive Combustible materials الوجود المفرط للمواد القابلة لالشتعال

Flammable Liquids (Acetone, Alcohol, …) السوائل السريعة اإللتهاب

Hot Work العمل الذي يتضمن استعمال الحرارة


Components of Fire مكونات الحريق

Fuel (wood, cloth, oil) الوقود Air / Oxygen أوكسجين/ الهواء Heat (spark, hot surface) الحرارة

Classes of fire

الحرائق فئات A- Ordinary combustibles نفايات، ورق، قماش، خشب -أ

B- Flammable liquids بنزين، مازوت: وقود سائل -ب

C- Electrical fires. (A or B) electricity is involved ج- ناتج عن الكهرباء وقوده من أ أو ب

Medical Gas Shut Off Valve

1. Remove the cover by pulling it straight out or sliding it

أزل الغطاء عن طريق سحبه إلى الخارج أو تحريكه جانبيًا

In case of an emergency Medical Gas valves shall only be shut-off in coordination between the RN/NM and

the Incident Commander

في حال الطوارئ، تقفل محابس الغازات الطبية فقط بالتنسيق بين الممرض المسؤول و قائد الحادث

Before shutting off, make sure that the patients in the rooms supplied by those lines are clinically safe

سريرياآمن قبل اغالق محابس الغازات الطبية ، تأكد من أن وضع المرضى الذين تدعمهم تلك الخطوط

EVACUATION اإلخالء

All Medical Gases must be shut-off by the nurse manager on duty prior to evacuation

كل محابس الغازات الطبية يجب أن تقفل من قبل مدير الممرضيين المناوب قبل اإلخالء

If evacuation is inevitable, it may be executed in three different stages, as necessary: في حال حتمية اإلخالء، من الممكن تنفيذه على المراحل التالية، حسب الضرورة:

1. Horizontal Evacuation: involves moving AUBMC personnel and/or patients from the area of immediate danger to a safer zone on the same floor. This evacuation may take place between the northern and southern parts of both phases I and II of AUBMC, which are separated by smoke barriers. This may also may take place between phase I and Phase II of AUBMC, which are separated by fire doors, where the floors of these phases are interconnected (3rd to 7th floor).

أإلخالء أالفقي: يتضمن نقل الموظفين و/ أو ألمرضى من ألمنطقة ألخطرة إلى منطقة آمنة في الطابق ذاته. يمكن ان يتم هذا اإلخالء يمكن ان يتم هذا اإلخالء . ين الجزئين الشمالي و الجنوبي لكل من قسمي المبنى األول و الثاني، المفصولين بعوازل مقاومة للدخان

من الدور ( أيضًا بين قسمي المبنى األول و الثاني، المفصولين بعوازل مقاومة للحريق، في األماكن التي تتصل فيها أقسام المبنى ) الثالث حتى الدور السابع


EVACUATION اإلخالء

2. Vertical evacuation: means downward movement from one floor to another or to the ground floor.

أإلخالء ألعامودي: يتضمن اإلخالء العامودي نزوًال من دور إلى آخر أو إلى الدور األرضي من المبنى.

3. Complete evacuation: is the transfer of all patients and their families, visitors, staff, students, etc. to the pre-designated assembly area on the grounds outside the AUBMC facility (Family Medicine Parking area).

أإلخالء ألكلي: يتضمن نقل جميع ألمرضى و ذويهم، الزوار، الموظفين، الطالب، الخ. إلى ألمنطقة المحددة للتجمع على اآلرض خارج )مرآب السيارات التابع للمركز الطبي( مبنى المستشفى


Crawl Low under smoke. أبق رأسك منخفًضا تحت مستوى الدخان من أجل سهولة التنفس

Do not use elevators. ال تستعمل المصاعد

Follow exit signs and take the nearest

way out اتبع اشارات المخارج و اتبع اقرب طريق الى خارج المبنى

What to do After Evacuation? ما الذي يجب عمله عند إخالء المبنى؟

Assemble in the area that was pre-designated for your building.

التجمع في المكان المحدد مسبًقا للتجمع

Report to floor wardens. اعلم المراقب على الدور الذي تعمل فيه بوجودك

Provide ERT and Protection with any relevant information.

زّود فريق الطوارئ بأي معلومات مفيدة

Never re-enter the building until alarm is cleared by incident commander.

ال تدخل المبنى بتاتًا حتى يعلن مسؤل فريق الطوارئ عن إنتهاء اإلنذار

In Case of Fire في حال حدوث حريق

RACE

If you decide to fight a fire: :لكى تطفئى النيران يجب أن Make sure that the fire is small and confined. يكون الحريق صغير Keep your exit always secure. تكون متدرب على استعمال المطفئ Make sure you have the proper extinguisher. مخرجك ؤمنت You must know how to use the extinguisher. تستعمل المطفئة المناسبة


Types of Extinguishers أصناف المطافئ

Water (Class A Fires) ماء

Carbon dioxide (Class B & C Fires) ثاني اوكسيد الكربون Dry Chemical (Class A, B, & C Fires) مواد كيميائية جافة


Water Extinguishers الماء -مطافئ

Are used on class A fires تستعمل على نوع أ من الحرائق Extinguish by removing heat تطفئ بالتبريد One minute duration المدة دقيقة واحدة Can reach up to 12 m when directed 12 متر مباشر تصل الى Never use on live electrical equipment


Carbon Dioxide Extinguishers مطافئ ثاني اوكسيد الكربون

Are used on B & C fire classes تستعمل على حرائق من فئة ب و ج

Smother fire by depriving it from oxygen, المشتعلة تطفي بعزل األوكسجين عن المواد

and to a certain extent cools the material مع تبريد المواد المشتعلة

30 second duration ثانية 30المدة

Dry Chemical Extinguishers مطافئ مواد كيميائية جافة

Are used on ABC fire classes ج تستعمل على حرائق من فئة أ ب و

Hinder the chemical reaction تعيق التفاعل الكيميائى

and to certain extent the action of oxygen مع اعاقة عمل الهواء

15 second duration ثانية 15المدة


How to Use an Extinguisher كيف تستعمل المطفئة

Pull (the pin) نزع مسمار االمانإ

Aim (at the base of fire) صوب على كعب النار

Squeeze (the handle) ضغط على المقبضإ

Sweep (side to side) مسح النار من جهة الىإ جهة

Remember the acronym


Extinguishing Tips إرشادات إطفاء

Attack Fire in the direction of the wind Never against it

What To Do If a Person Is Caught on Fire كيف تتصرف فى حال احتراق االشخاص

Stop - drop & Roll قف، انبطح، ابرم على االرض

Wrap person with a fire blanket يلف الشخص فى حرام

Use water extinguisher with caution رش الشخص بالماء

DO NOT USE CO2 - it may cause suffocation, or may freeze body parts ال تستعمل ثاني او كسيد الكربون كى ال تخنق الشخص او تجمد اعضائه

Fire fighting is optional . You are not obliged to fight a fire. مكافحة الحريق هو خيار و لستم مجبرين على اطفاء النار

In Case of Fire: RACE عزل، و اطفاءانذارانقاذ، : فى حال الحريق ،

Know the location of extinguishers at your work place. اعرف مكان وجود المطافئ فى مركز عملكم

Check if extinguisher is in good condition (gauge is in green colored area) ( العداد يشير الى الون االخضر(تأكد من حالة المطافئ

Report defective extinguishers to housekeeping @ 2051 on Campus or general services @ ext. 6352 in AUBMC

دائرة او الى 2051 لرقم ا دائرة التدبير المنزلى على الى في حرم الجامعة بلغ عن اى مطفئة معطلة
