Malaysia is a major exporter of high quality rubber prod-

ucts. Malaysia has successfully progressed from largely

an exporter of raw natural rubber to an exporter of a wide

range of value-added rubber products. Malaysia is also

widely recognized for its competitiveness in meeting the

world’s demand for high quality rubber and rubber prod-

ucts.

With sound manufacturing practices and continuous in-

novation, Malaysian manufacturers have proven them-

selves capable of adapting to meet specific customer

requirements. Today, Malaysia is world's largest exporter

of medical gloves and rubber catheters.

The Malaysian rubber industry also has the advantage of

R&D support and testing laboratories provided by the

Rubber Research Institute of Malaysia (RRIM) and the

Tun Abdul Razak Research Center (TARRC) in the United

Kingdom.
