Financial Assistance for

Conventions of Associations in Vienna

Conditions. The ollowing conditions must be ulflled in order to qualiy: Internationality: more than 50% o attendees have to originate rom countries other than Austria Time rame: the conerence must take place in Vienna in the months o November through March

or July and August. Accommodation: in Viennese hotels

Application. An ofcial request should be sent by the organiser to the Vienna Convention Bureau, atleast six months prior to the conerence. This has to include the ollowing inormation:

Exact title and date o the conerence Conerence venue in Vienna

Number o expected delegates Accommodation in Vienna (category o hotels and duration o stay) Preliminary budget o the conerence

The application orm can be received by the Vienna Convention Bureau upon request.

Procedure. A Committee that meets three times a year (March, June and October) decides upon eachapplication. Confrmation o fnancial assistance will be given in writing ollowing the meeting and theconfrmed amount is paid out ater the respective event.

Payment o assistance. Financial assistance will be remitted to your account as soon as the ollowingdetails have been received:

For events up to 500 participants a list o participants, or events with more than 500 participantscountry statistics o participants Copies o invoices pertaining to congress related expenses (room rental, printing, cost or trans-

lation, etc.) Bank account number or remittance

Payments o fnancial assistance is made until the 31st o January o the ollowing year and expires aterthis date.

Pre-fnancing. It is possible or you to receive 50% o the amount allocated one year prior to the event.To take advantage o the pre-fnancing a separate application has to be sent to the Vienna ConventionBureau.

Important. The Vienna Convention Bureau provides fnancial assistance as an incentive to attract inter-national meetings to Vienna during low season. It does not, however, assume cancellation liability. Thefnancial assistance only applies to conventions o associations.

Attention. Should the dates o your event change ater you have received a written confrmation orfnancial assistance, this confrmation is invalid. Since a change o date might change the eligibility, it is

necessary to send a new application in time.
