Students should expect to be assigned homework for every class in addition to the long-term written assessment project. These assignments and projects must be handed in the day they are due and must be written legibly. If work is late then it will be held in Power School as missing and at zero until such a time that the work is completed. Any student who plagiarises work or who is strongly suspected of having used a translator programme, will also receive zero for their assignment. Students are automatically expected to study all new vocabulary and grammar the day it is introduced and may be quizzed on it the following class. In brief, students are strongly encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning and to practise the language both in and outside the classroom.
