Sermon Text: James 1:12-18 “A Faith that Works Resists Sin with the Power of the Gospel ”
Bloomfield Baptist Family: We are very blessed in numerous ways by our God and Savior. Despite how we feel about the culture around us, there are blessings to living in this day and age. One of those benefits is the technological advances . Recently we began streaming our Sunday morning worship ser-vices via Facebook Live. Now we have added the capability to view the service in the nursery and outside the sanctuary. In all three cases, the Lord has afforded us the opportunity to provide this ministry for those who are unable to be in the worship ser-vice. The opportunity to watch the service online or outside the sanc-tuary provides a great benefit and yet there is also great caution that must be taken with this. The danger here is that we may forget that we are called to gather with the body to worship and fellowship. The author of Hebrews writes in 10:24-25: “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” The streaming of our worship services is meant to serve as a blessing for those who are providentially hindered from being in the sanctuary physically gathered with the body of Christ. In no way should we neglect gathering with the body in person as this a detriment to our spiritual walks and to the body of Christ. If you are unable to be with us, please take advantage of the ability to watch the services online. Otherwise, please make every effort to be present so that we may gather together to wor-ship our Savior and Lord! In Christ,
Pastor Matt
