Future Indefinite Tense Future Indefinite Tense
Study the grammar rule: Мы используем will (‘ll), когда мы решили сделать что-
Oh, He's left the door open. I'll go and shut it. - `What would you like to eat?' `I'll have a sandwich,
please.' - Did you visit Mary? `Oh no, I forgot. I'll do it now.' - I'm too tired to walk home. I think I'll take a bus.
В этих предложениях использовать present simple (I do) нельзя.
- I'll go and lock the door. (а не `I go and lock the door.')
- He can't visit you tomorrow because his parents are coming to see him.
(а не `his parents will come')

Мы часто используем I think I'll ... или I don't think I'll ..,
- I think I'll stay at home and read tonight.
- I don't think I'll go out this evening. I'm too busy.
Мы часто используем will в следующих ситуациях: Предложение что-то сделать: - That box seems to be heavy. I'll help you with it. (а не 'I help')
- `I need a pen.' `Don't worry. I'll lend you mine.
A: You know that money I lent you? Can I
have it back? back menu next
B: Of course. I'll bring it back tomorrow. (а не `I bring') - We've asked him to help us but he won't. - The bike won't start. ( = the bike `refuses' to start)
Обещание что-то сделать: - Thank you for lending me the car. I'll give you it back on Sunday. (а не `I give')
- I won't tell Sally what you've said. I promise.
- I promise I'll inform you as soon as I arrive.
(Will you...?): - Will you make coffee, please? - Will you please be a little quieter? I'm trying to concentrate. back menu next

Выражение ближайшего будущего- to be going to
Мы используем to be going to do something, когда говорим о наших планах на будущее и о том, что мы уже решили сделать:
- I'm going to do my laundry next Monday. - When are you going to buy me new shoes? - John is not going to tell her anything about it.
Will or going to?
Peter: My new car has a flat tyre. Can you repair it? Father: OK, but now I'm very busy. I'll repair it tomorrow.

Выражение ближайшего будущего- to be going to
Mother: Can you repair Peter's new car? It has a flat tyre.
Father: Yes, I know. He told me. I'm going to repair it tomorrow.
Mother: Ted, we don't have any sugar. Ted: Oh, don't we? If so, I'll get some from the
shop. (решение принимается в момент разговора) back menu next
Ted: I'm going to get some sugar from the shop.
Can I get you anything, John?
- Do you think Jim will buy that house? - Oh darling, it's already 6 o'clock. We're going to be late
for the party.
- Look at those black lines. The TV-set's going to break. (the lines are there now)
- I feel awful. I think I'm going to be ill. (I feel awful now)
back menu next
В других случаях лучше использовать will - Mike will probably arrive at about 10 o`clock
tomorrow. - I'm sure she will like the present you want to
give her. Present
Progressive (I am doing),
- I’m going to travel to the mountains with him. Мы используем was/were going to do, чтобы
- I was going to return your book today but left it at home.
- They were going to swim, but the weather was too cold.

Мы также употребляем to be going to do
He is going to fall into the hole.
- Mother has bought lots of cakes for our party. It's going to be a joilly good party. - It's going to be another warm day.back menu next
When and If sentences in the Future
- If I have spare time I'll go to the cinema. I'll go to the cinema - главная часть и If I have spare time - придаточная (зависимая)часть.
В предложении говорится о действии в будущем, но здесь нельзя использовать will, shall или be going to в придаточной части предложения. Present indefinite (I do).
- When we get off the train, I'll buy an ice cream for you.
I'll buy an ice cream for you - главная часть - When we get off the train - придаточная часть Снова мы имеем Present Indefinite Tense в
и условий (under what condition?)
времена PRESENT вместо FUTURE.
back menu next
- I shall tell him about it (under what condition?) if I see him tomorrow.
- We shall go for a walk (when?) as soon as the rain stops.
- You can have the book (when?) when I've read it. В этом примере Present Perfect (I've read) используется для
Для придаточных предложений времени (when - предложений) мы используем, как правило, следующие союзы: after, before, while, until/ till, as soon as, when.
являются: if, unless, provided (that), on condition (that).
back menu next
- I'm going shopping this afternoon. When I go shopping, I'll buy some food.
- If you miss this train, you'll be late for your work. - If he does not come soon, I'm not going to wait.
- He does not know if he will come to see us tonight . - I do not know, when I'll be back.
back menu next
I 'll go shopping with you (under what condition?) if I
have time tomorrow.
" under what condition?":- I do not know (what?) if he will come on time.
Future Indefinite Tense.
