Aeademytor hilenntloualBasiress Olliciak (AIBO, also known as Training Center

of the Ministry of Conmrcrce), is the only educationnl and training institution directly

affiliated to the Ministry a{Commerce (MOFCOM}, People's Republic of China.

Situated in the famous Xiaotangshan Longmai hot spring area, Changping District, on

the riverside of Wenyu River which is reputed as the mother river of Beijing, AIBO boasts a

history of 37 years. Covering an Brea of nearly 60A mu (about 40 hectares) with the total

floor area of over 100,000 m2, it enjoys beautiful environment and fresh air and has all

necessary facilities. Besides, it is conveniently connected to the city's transportation

networks.

AIBO provides training, academic teaching, conference service as well as holiday

service. It has meeting rooms (including VIP rooms) of various sizes. AIBO's hotel is

well-fumished and provides all neeessary facilities.

AIBO is the first to organize seminnrs for government business officisls from other

developing countries storting from 1998. Now serninars it organizes cover a large range of

topics such as economic ndminis8ation, trade and investment, city planning and

administration, telecommunication, transportation, conskuction of development zones,

logistic management, development of naturat resources, international labor cooperation,

coordinated developmen{ of urban and rural areas, wiretess communication and digital TV

technology, cleun energy, €tc. Apart from the seminars for officials at director's level or

director general's level, AIBO has also organized many ministerial workshops.

By the end of 2018, AIBO has organized 1530 seminars/workshops including 105

Ministerial Workshops, receiving 43302 officials including 948 ministedal officials and 5

founded in 1958. China International Neuroscience Institute is located in this hospital. It is

specialized on neurological diseases. It is one of the top hospital in China which cover the

service of medical heatment, education, scientific research, prevention, health care and

rehabilitation. The department of neurology and neurosurgery are the key departments ofXuanrvu Hospitat which is the top I and top 3 deparrments in China. The abitity ofdiagnosis and treatment of neurological diseases of Xuanwu Hospital is wellknown in the

world.

Xuanwu Hospital is the training base of the neurologist and neurosurgeon authorized

by China Health and Family Planning Committee. It is also one of the birthplaces of China

neurosurgery. It is the lst Clinical Institute of Capital Medical University and is the Chinese

training center of the World Federation of Neurosurgicol Societies(WFNS)since 2007. It is

also lhe reference center for training neurosurgical residents of WFNS.

It organizes many seminars and courses in each year, Tlre seminars cover B large range

of the topics on neuroscience. Since 2007, Xuanwu Hospital began to train the foreign

doctors from developirtg countries. From 2012 to 2018, it has organized l0 serninars which

received 284 neurosurgeonsr neurologists and officials from 50 cquntries around the world.

From those seminars, all the participants think they get a lot of experiences abou( the

technology and managernent while they learn much about Chinese culture and make muny

good Chinese friends.

Content

Purposcr Morbidity rate and mortaliry rate of cerebrovascular diseases remain high,

and low quality of life of the patients and the high cost of treatment brings huge burden for

many counfies especially the developing countries. Cerebrovascular diseases, as a major

problem in the world field, have beeame an important cause of death and disability, often

result in paralysis and movement disorders, language and comprehension dysfunction,

thinking, emotional control and memory loss, and depression and other psychological

diseases.

The improvement of the level of prevention and treatment of cerebrovascutar diseases

is related to the national economy and the people's livelihood, and devetoping countries

have an urgent need for training in this area. This seminar organized by Xuanwu Hospital ofC*pital Medicat University, which hos strong academic expertise and rich and international

training capabilities, rvill help to strengthen the tie between China and other developing

countries, and support other developing counFies to improve the livelihood of their peopte.

Contcntr The seminar includes 3 sections namely presentation, field trip, and hand-on

microsurgical training. All presentations are given by famous experts or gov€rnment

ofticials, covering topics on the management, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation ofcerebrovascular diseases. Participants will attend 2019 WFNS Speoial World Congress in

Beijing where they rvill have opportunity to listen to the lectures and communicate with

world famous neurosurgical mastsrs face to face. This course will discuss manv topics of

neurosurgical diseases from di fferent perspective.

On the field trip, the participants will go to lluhehaote and Dalnte in Inner Mongolia

Autonomous Region to meet with the staff of the local hospital. Besides, this seminar witl

atso provide the participants with hand on microsurgical training, enabling them to practice

the microsurgical techniques by thonselves on rats. The siruation will be totally imitated as

the participants in the operating room.

Please get ready the passport, the visa to Chins and the transfer visa io a third

counEy if necessary.

The organizer will receive you at the airport, so please inform the Chinese

name and country written in the sign at the TNTERNATIONAL ARRIVAL EXIT

(or DOMESTIC ARRIVAL EXIT) of the airport upon your arrival. Please claim

your tuggage and waii for the pickup. If you wait more than 15 minutes, please

csll the orgonizer immediately.

In case of lost baggage to be registered with the airline, please first communicate

with the organizer to con{irm t}e baggage dclivery location and then fill in thc

registration form.

Please pay attention to weather condition in the host city and carry the appropriate

clothing. As for the dress code: On important occasions (egr opening ceremony and

closing ceremony), please dress formally (notional costumes are acceptable), For
