ᗰOᑎTᔕEᖇᖇᗩTMontserrat (Catalan pronunciation: [munsəˈrat]) is a multi-peaked mountain located near the city of Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. It is part of the Catalan Pre-Coastal Range. The main peaks are Sant Jeroni (1,236 m), Montgrós (1,120 m) and Miranda de les Agulles (903 m). TᕼE Caribbean island of Montserrat was named by Christopher Columbus after the mountain.

It is well known as the site of the Benedictine abbey, Santa Maria de Montserrat, which hosts the Virgin of Montserrat sanctuary and which is identified by some with the location of the Holy Grail in Arthurian myth.

"Montserrat" literally means "saw (serrated, like the common handsaw) mountain" in Catalan. It describes its peculiar aspect with multitude of rock formations which are visible from a great distance. The mountain is composed of strikingly pink conglomerate, a form of sedimentary rock. Montserrat is Spain's first National Park.

ᑭEᗪᖇᗩᖴOᖇᑕᗩPedraforca is a mountain in the Pyrenees, located in the comarca of Berguedà. The mountain's unique form, along with the fact that it is not visibly connected to any other adjacent mountains or ridges, has made it one of the most famous and emblematic mountains in the autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain.

EᗷᖇOThe Ebro (Spanish and Basque: [ˈeβɾo] ) or Ebre (Catalan: [ˈeβɾə, ˈeβɾe]) is one of the

most important rivers on the Iberian Peninsula. It is the second longest river in the Iberian peninsula after the Tagus and the second biggest both by discharge volume and by drainage area after the Duero. It is also the biggest river by discharge volume in Spain.

The Ebro flows through the following cities: Reinosa in Cantabria; Frías and Miranda de Ebro in Castile and León; Haro, Logroño, Calahorra, and Alfaro in La Rioja; Tudela

in Navarre; Alagón, Utebo, Zaragoza, and Caspe in Aragon; and Flix, Móra d'Ebre, Benifallet, Tivenys, Xerta, Aldover, Tortosa, and Amposta in Catalonia.

ᗷEᔕóᔕThe Besòs (Catalan pronunciation: [bəˈzɔs]) is a river flowing through Catalonia, Spain, formed by the

confluence of the Mogent and Congost rivers. It ends in the Mediterranean. Its

full watershed includes the following cities: Aiguafreda, La Garriga, Sant Fost de Campsantelles, Canovelles, Granollers, Montmeló, Mollet del Vallès, Montcada i

Reixac, Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Barcelona and Sant Adrià de Besòs. Due to its Mediterranean climate, the river

can have an extreme discrepancies in flow depending on the weather.

TEᖇThe Ter is a river in Catalonia (northeastern of the

Iberian Peninsula) that rises in Ulldeter at an approximate elevation of 2,400 metres (7,900 ft), at the

foot of a glacial cirque delimited by the nearby peaks of el Bastiments, el Gra de Fajol, or el Pic de la Dona. It runs

through the comarques of Ripollès, Osona, Selva, Gironès, and Baix Empordà, discharging into the

Mediterranean Sea at l'Estartit.

The Ter follows a course of 208 kilometres (129 mi) and drains an area of approximately 3,010 square kilometres (1,160 sq mi); its basin is described by a dendritic and

exorheic drainage pattern. Annually, an average of 840 cubic hectometres (680,000 acre·ft) of water is moved by

the river, with an average flow rate of 25 cubic metres per second (880 cu ft/s) at its mouth. Although its headwaters are in the Pyrenees, the Ter receives

significant inflow from rivers in the middle and lower plains. Thus it is susceptible to flooding in both the spring

and the autumn.
