As per the recent NZ employment statistics Unemployment has risen to the highest level since 13 years. There is an urgent need to create employment by creating new jobs or replacing outsourced jobs with NZ skilled unemployed people.

There is a scope in current NZ IT education market to introduce new courses that are more relevant to NZ IT job market. The concept of Getskills is to introduce these courses in NZ IT education system by collaborating with IT colleges all over New Zealand. These part time courses will be delivered by industry experts e.g Managers from various corporate, Technical Leads and Architects to the students to give them a real life industry exposure.

Objective of GetSkills will be Teach, Train and Place. Teach: By delivering lectures by Industry experts. Train: Train them on live industry projects. Place: Help and guide students to find employment

2 webinars on Software Testing and Interview skills have been organized for NZ School of Education.

with a great response from students for Testing certifications.

GetSkills Portal Features

Admin: 1. Go to getskills.co.nz 2. Login as admin@getskills.co.nz 3. Click "Schedule a Class". Fill in the details and pick a teacher

to schedule the class. The time zone is NZ. Enter the time. 4. Select a teacher to whom you would like to assign the class. 5. Once the class is schedule, it is shown under "My Classroom". 6. Under "Actions" click on the users icon to add a student to the

class. 7. This action would open a student drop down to add the

students to the classroom. 8. You can even launch the class from the admin account as well.  

Admin Functionality

Teacher 1. Logout and enter as teacher 2. Find the class scheduled by the admin for

this teacher. 3. Launch the class

Student 1. Logout and enter as a student with the

following credentials 2. Find the class scheduled and launch
