■ 授業の概要This course provides the knowledge and skills to enable the student to have a satisfactory campus life.The student learns basic study methods for university-levelwork, research skills and the importance of teamwork through individual and group work.Through this course, each student plans his/her complete academic plan.

■ 到達目標Understanding Meikai and the School of HT;identifying undergraduate’s unique skills and background;developing practical communication skills;developing confidence and motivation through presentation experiences.

■ 授業の概要This course is designed for freshman to improve the basic abilities required in working together with various people in the workplace and in the localcommunities as ”Fundamental Competencies for Working Persons”(FCWP). The student learns basics of 3 competencies (12 competency factors)constituting FCWP through PBL(Project Based Learning). Through this course, students will think about their own careers and link them to theiruniversity life. This course is designed to be a trigger for career planning. And, MEIKAI SPI is a part of this course.

■ 授業の概要Students perform reading, listening, speaking and writing tasks of exercises. Discussion on improvement will be held. Assignments and quizzeswill be given.

■ 到達目標Students improve their reading, listening, speaking and writing skills at the level of English-speaking universities. The primary goal is to score 60 inthe first year, 80 in the second year, leading to one-year study abroad, broadening an individual’s perspective and corresponding to globalization.

■ 授業の概要In this introductory Chinese course, our goal is achieving basic linguistic and conversational competence in the Chinese language. In this course, wewill work on all of the four language skills ‒ listening, speaking, reading and writing. You will learn Chinese pinyin and its four tones. ■ 授業の概要This course is designed to help students learn basic economic concepts. Our aim is to enable students to interpret various economic phenomenausing economic concepts.It is assumed that students do not have any knowledge about economics prior to taking this course, and therefore, we begin by thinking about thebasics, such as“what kind of subject is economics?”We then attempt to understand the basic concepts of microeconomics and macroeconomics (i.e., demand and supply in the market, gross domesticproduct, and economic growth among other related aspects)
