Preaching and Teaching

August  Speaking  at  the  Sunday  evening  celebration  and  morning  Bible  Studies  during  the  SummerFire  Convention  in  Southport.  September  Preaching  at  Avenue  Baptist,  Southend  on  Eternity  Preaching  at  Burlington  Baptist,  Ipswich  on  the  third  year  of  Jesus  ministry  –  The  Opposition  Year  October  Leading  and  speaking  at  the  Education  Network,  part  of  the  INTEGRATED  Conference  at  All  Souls  Church,  London  

Enabling projects that transform through ministry that aims to make the

Bible more accessible to all.

Pray  for  continued  inspiration  for  research,  study  and  preparation  –  every  speaking  opportunity  is  a  challenge  to  embrace  and  pray  that  God  speaks  and  works  in  people’s  lives.        Preaching  on  Sundays  about  twice  a  month.      Training  and  conferences  as  well.

The  projects  overleaf  require  wisdom  and  inspiration.    In  writing,  developing  and  management  as  well  as  speaking  opportunities.    Pray  especially  for  the  national  training  event  15/16  Nov.  and  other  events  being  organised.    Pray  for  the  profiling,  training  and  networking  both  projects  entail.    Urgent  need  for  new  finance  for  the  Governor  project.  

Pray  for    •new  projects  to  make  up  for  an  unexpected  shortfall.    •The  right  conference  speaking  opportunities  in  2012    • continued  inspiration  and  understanding  of  the  Bible  to  pass  on  with  grace.  •My  role  as  Chair  of  Governors  at  Westwood  Academy

H+  is  the  10  week  course  Mike  has  piloted  and  

helped  form  over  the  past  18  months.  

Completing  the  materials  A  significant  part  of  Sept.  &  Oct.  is  being  spent  editing  and  completing  the  course  materials  –  a  guide,  handbook  and  PowerPoint’s.    The  next  step  of  my  work  for  Bible  Society  on  this  course  is  to  profile  the  need,  the  course  and  the  opportunity  across  the  country  and  then  to  deliver  key  training  events  for  facilitators.  

Drama  of  Scripture  This  supplementary  4  week  course  is  a  separate  project  that  I  have  to  complete  over  the  next  couple  of  months.    This  includes  writing  the  course  as  well  as  designing  and  developing  support  materials.

Writing,  managing  and  developing  the  website  to  support  school  governors  is  a  continuous  task.  

Arising  out  of  this  have  been  networking,  consultation  and  speaking  opportunities.    I  am  now  well  placed  amongst  those  seeking  to  influence  education  from  a  Christian  perspective  including  working  with  Christian  Resources  Exhibition,  The  Stapleford  Centre  and  many  others.  

My  role  as  Chair  of  Governors  at  Westwood  Academy  is  key  to  this  and  my  work  in  the  local  community.  

Proverbs  9:9  CEV    If  you  have  good  sense,  instruction  will  help  you  to  have  even  better  sense.  And  if  you  live  right,  education  will  help  you  to  know  even  more.
