Ready Position
Your feet are shoulder width apart
Toes slightly turned in
Weight on the balls of your feet, not on your heels
It should feel as if your big toes are stopping you from falling forward
Arms should be relaxed and held in front of the body at a slightly forward angle
Breathing should be relaxed and regular
Back Fist Block (Uraken Gamae) in Front Stance (Zenkutsu Dachi)
Breathe in deeply through your nose
Move your Right foot in to your Left, then forward towards the 1.30 clock position so you finish in a wide front stance facing 12 o'clock
As your Right foot starts to move towards your Left, bring your Right fist to your Left shoulder and place your Left fist under your Right elbow - knuckles against your elbow
As you step forward, bring your Right fist forward and down in front of you, finishing with you knuckles facing away from you and directly in line with your chest
Keep your left fist under your Right elbow
Breathe out slowly and strongly through your mouth during the technique, which should last 2 - 3 seconds.
Tense all your body muscles for a brief moment on the completion of the move
Double Punch (Heiko Tate Zuki) in Front Stance (Zenkutsu Dachi)
Turn your head to look towards the 10.30 clock position
Breathe in through your nose
Move your Left foot in towards your Right foot
Bring both fists to your Right hip
Step forward towards 9 o'clock with your Left foot so that you finish in a wide front stance, facing the 10.30 clock position
As you step forward, push forward with both fists towards 10.30 to chest height. Extend your arms fully
Do not twist the fists all the way around. Your knuckles will face to either side and the thumbs of both fists will be on top, closest to the ceiling
Breathe out slowly and strongly through your mouth during the technique, which should last 2 - 3 seconds.
Tense all your body muscles for a brief moment on the completion of the move

Turn your head to look towards the 1.30 clock position
Breathe in through your nose
Move your Right foot in towards your Left foot
Bring both fists to your Left hip
Step forward towards 3 o'clock with your Left foot so that you finish in a wide front stance, facing the 1.30 clock position
As you step forward, push forward with both fists towards 1.30 to chest height. Extend your arms fully

Turn your head to look towards the 10.30 clock position
Breathe in through your nose
Move your Left foot in towards your Right foot
Slowly step forward with your Left foot towards 9 o'clock into Fudo dachi. This will give you a wide stance facing the 10.30 clock position. Make sure your Right rear leg is bent and the Right hip is pulled back slightly
Bring your Left open hand to the shoulder and as you step forward into Fudo Dachi, slowly push the hand forward towards 10.30, the outside ridge of the hand away from you
Keep your Right fist on your Right hip
Breathe out slowly and strongly through your mouth during the technique, which should last 2 - 3 seconds.
Tense all your body muscles for a brief moment on the completion of the move
Reverse punch (Gyaku Zuki) in Front Stance (Zenkutsu Dachi)
Keep you feet in the same position but lock your Rear leg straight into Front Stance (Zenkutsu Dachi)
Punch from your hip with your Right fist. The punch should finish directly in line with the centre of your chest towards the 10.30 clock position.
Pull your Left fist quickly back to your hip
Push your Right hip forward and your Left hip back to give more reach to the punch
Make sure your Left knee is over your Left toes
Do not lean forward
Breathe out partially - follow on to the next move immediately
Standing punch (Choku Zuki) in Front Stance (Zenkutsu Dachi)
Punch forward with your Left fist towards 10.30, chest height
Pull your Right fist back to the Right hip
Do not change the stance position from the previous move
Breathe out completely and tense all your body muscles for a brief moment on the completion of the move
Front Kick (Mae Geri)
Kick forward with your Right leg towards 10.30
Make sure you pull your toes back so you hit the target area with the ball of the foot
Keep your Left hand forward and the Right fist on your Right hip. Do not allow your elbows to stick out to the sides
After the kick, do not step forward, pull the Right foot back to the previous Front Stance position
Breathe out partially - follow on to the next move immediately

Strike upwards with your Right elbow as your Right foot reaches its stance position
Pull your Left hip back and bring your Left fist back to your Left hip
Your Right fist will finish next to your Right ear, knuckles facing away from you, thumb nearest your shoulder
Side View
Breathe out completely and tense all your body muscles for a brief moment on the completion of the move
Finger Strike (Ippon Nukite) in Front Stance (Zenkutsu Dachi)
Move your Left foot across towards the 7.30 clock position
Pivot on the balls of your feet to face 6 o'clock in a wide front stance
Strike forwards and down at a slight angle towards 6 o'clock with your Right open hand - fingers straight, knuckles facing the ceiling
Support the strike by placing your Left open hand under your Right elbow
Side View
Breathe out completely and tense all your body muscles for a brief moment on the completion of the move
Back of Thumb Block (Keito Uke) in Cat Stance (Nekoashi Dachi)
Move your Right foot forward in front of your Left foot in an 'S' shape - starting at the bottom of the 'S'
Pivot slightly on the ball of your Left foot as your Right foot moves forward, until it points towards the 4.30 clock position
95% of your weight will be on your Left foot with just the ball of your Right foot touching the floor

Double Augmented Low Block (Sokumen Gedan Morote Uke), Stamping Kick (Fumikomi) in Horse Stance (Kiba Dachi)
Stamp your Left foot down from its high position, landing in Horse stance (Kiba Dachi) towards 3 o'clock
Your chest is still facing 6 o'clock
As your foot reaches its stance position, strike down to a low (Gedan) position with both fists, across your chest and towards 3 o'clock
Your Left knuckles will face towards the ceiling and your Right knuckles will face the floor
Breathe out completely and tense all your body muscles for a brief moment on the completion of the move

As your Right foot reaches its stance position, strike downwards with your Right hand
Your Right hand will finish at chest height, fingers pointing towards the floor

Swivel your hand over maintaining its position at shoulder height and striking upwards. Your fingers now face the ceiling.

Front Kick (Mae Geri)
Front kick to the head with your Left foot
Breathe out partially and carry straight on to the next technique
Left Elbow Strike (Empi uchi), Right Low Block (Gedan Barai) in Zenkutsu Dachi
After the Front kick, step backwards with your Left foot towards the 4.30 clock position and turn to face 6 o'clock in front stance, do not turn head, stay looking behind at 12 o’clock.
As your left foot reaches its stance position, strike forward and around in an anticlockwise direction towards 6 o'clock with your Left elbow.
Make sure you keep your Left fist close to your Left shoulder, knuckles near your chin
At the same time, strike down to a low block position (Gedan Barai) with your Right Fist towards 12 o'clock

Strike forward with the outside edge of your left hand towards 12 o'clock a split second after the kick.
Keep your Right hand on your Right hip

Five Finger Vertical Strike (Tate Shihon Nukite) and Thrusting Elbow Strike (Yoko Hari Empi) in Horse Stance (Kiba Dachi)
Step down from the previous Front Kick towards 9 o'clock, landing in Horse Stance (Kiba Dachi). You are still facing towards 12 o'clock
As you land in your stance position, strike forward towards 12 o'clock with your open Right hand
Your Right fingers will be together in a vertical line. your open palm facing towards 9 o'clock
At the same time, bring your Left fist back to your Left hip and strike forward with your Left elbow, which is bent at about 90 degrees
Make sure the knuckles of your Left fist are against your Left hip and the back of your hand is facing forward
Breathe out and tense all your body muscles for a brief moment on the completion of the move

Same stance position as the previous move
Turn to look quickly towards 3 o'clock
Swing both arms in front of your across your chest and down towards a low (Gedan ) position to your Right side
Both hands are open – Both palms facing the ceiling
Your Right arm is straight and your Left elbow will have a slight bend
Breathe out completely and tense all your body muscles for a brief moment on the completion of the move
Step across (Kosa Dachi)
Still looking and moving towards 3 o'clock
Move your Left foot quickly over your Right foot
Step down onto the ball of your Left foot, about 3-4 inches past your Right foot
Breathe in through your nose
Keep your hands in the same positions as the previous move

Move your Right foot in to your Left, then forward towards the 1.30 clock position so you finish
in a wide front stance facing 12 o'clock
As your Right foot starts to move towards your Left, bring your Right fist to your Left shoulder and place your Left fist under your Right elbow - knuckles against your elbow
As you step forward, bring your Right fist forward and down in front of you, finishing with you knuckles facing away from you and directly in line with your chest
Keep your left fist under your Right elbow
Breathe out slowly and strongly through your mouth during the technique, which should last 2 - 3 seconds.

Hammer Fist Strike ( Tettsui Uchi) in Horse Stance (Kiba Dachi)
Step backwards with your Right foot towards 6 o'clock, landing in Kiba Dachi. Your chest will be facing towards 3 o'clock

Bring your Left fist under your Right arm towards the armpit area
As you being to reach the final stance position, stretch your Right arm and hip forward to give focus and direction for the Hammer fist strike
As your foot reaches the stance position, strike using the side of your Left fist near the little finger. The knuckles facing the ceiling
Pull your Right Fist back to your Right hip, keeping the elbow tight into your side
Breathe out completely and tense all your body muscles for a brief moment on the completion of the move
Punch to the Chest area (Oi Zuki Chudan) in Front Stance (Zenkutsu Dachi) KIAI!
As you step forward, keep your Left arm straight, palm facing the floor, to give focus to your punch. Keep your Right fist at your side just on your belt area.
Make sure your shoulders are square i.e. neither one more forward than the other.
Do not step in a straight line as this will make your stance very narrow - step out to the 1.30 clock position
As your Right foot touches the finish position, punch with your Right hand quickly from your waist to finish directly in front of your chest with your arm straight. At the same time bring your left hand quickly back to your waist - palm facing upward
Make sure your front leg is bent with your knee over your toes, and your back leg is straight and locked

Reach forward again with both hands towards 9 o'clock and breathe in quickly through your nose

Your thumbs will nearly touch as your fists come together - knuckles facing the floor

As your Left foot reaches its stance position, twist your chest forward to face 6 o'clock. At the same time, swing your Right elbow forward quickly and pull your Left elbow back

Bring both hands up in front of your chest and shape your fingers into the One Finger Strike (Ippon Nukite) shape

Move your Right foot around in an anticlockwise direction in front of your Left foot, turning your body to face 12 o'clock
Pivot slightly on the ball of your Left foot as your Right foot moves forward, until it points towards the 10.30 clock position
95% of your weight will be on your Left foot with just the ball of your Right foot touching the floor
Carry on the movement of your Right foot in a clockwise direction on the floor in front of you
