1. This standard applies to hot-rolled steel unequal-leg angles.

The standard completely corresponds to ST SEV 255—76.

2. Dimensions of angles, cross-sectional area, reference values for axes and masses of 1 m of anglesshall comply with those indicated on the drawing and in table 1.

Notes:

1. Cross-sectional area, reference values and liner density are calculated from nominal dimensions. In calculation of mass of 1 m of an angle, density

2. Radius of rounding, shape and dimensions of fillet zone of internal edges of flanges specified on the drawing and in table 1 are given for constructio

3. The angles marked with asterisk are manufactured upon customer's request.

The key for the drawing and table 1:

 B  — width of the larger flange;

b  — width of the smaller flange;

t  — flange thickness;

 R  — inner rounding radius;

r  — flange rounding radius;

 J  — moment of inertia;

i  — radius of inertia;

 x0, y0   — distance from the center-of-gravity to external edges of flanges;

 Jxy  — centrifugal moment of inertia.

(Amended word ing, Amd. No. 1).

3. With respect to accuracy of rolling, the following angles are manufactured:

 A  — of high accuracy;

 B  — of normal accuracy.

4. Limit deviations with respect to the dimensions of angles shall not exceed those given in table 2.

6. According to the agreement between manufacturer and customer, it is allowed to replace limit

deviations with respect to flange thickness by limit deviations with respect to mass equal to .

7. Deviation from right angle at the vertex shall not exceed 35’.

8. Blunting of exterior angles of flanges (including that of vertex angle) is not subject to control.

Upon customer’s request, blunting of exterior angles of flanges (including that of vertex angle) shall notexceed the following values:

0,3 flange thickness — for the angles of up to 10 mm inclusive;

3,0 — for the angles of thickness over 10 and up to 15 mm inclusive;

5,0 — for the angles of thickness over 16 mm inclusive;

9. Angles are manufactured from 4 to 12 m:

of exact length;

of exact length with section;

of off-measurement length;

of limited length within off-measurement length;

of exact length with off-measurement lengths in the amount of not over 5 % of mass of the lot:multiple exact length with off-measurement lengths in the amount of not over 5 % of mass of the lot.

Manufacture of angles of length over 12 m is allowed.

8; 9. (Amended wording, Amd. No. 1).

10. Limit deviations with respect to length of angles of exact length or multiple exact length shall notexceed the following values in millimeters:

+30 — when the length is 4 m;

+50 — when the length is over 4 m and less than 6 m inclusive;

+70 — when the length is over 6 m;

upon customer’s request, +40 mm — for the angles of the length over 4 m and less than 7 m:

+5 mm per each 1 m of the length above 7 m.

11. Curvature of angles shall not exceed 0,4 % of length.

Upon customer’s request, the angles of curvature which does not exceed 0,2 % of length aremanufactured.

For the angles No. from 2,5/1,6 to 5,6/3,6 inclusive, curvature is verified on the length 1 m.

12. Twisting around longitudinal axes is not allowed.

13. Dimensions of cross-section of the angle are verified at the distance not less than 500 mm from thebutt end of the bar.
