After reading the speech, are there any sentences you like most?
Talk with your partner and then give your reasons.
The one person from my junior high school days that I will never forget is Mr. Yang, my English teacher in Grade 7.
When I first started Grade 7, I was shy and did not dare to speak to anyone. My English was not very good and I felt nervous when I had to answer questions in class. I would have problems speaking even though I knew the answer. I felt quite unhappy with myself.

One day, Mr. Yang spoke to me after class. He encouraged me to speak to anyone. He also told me that he believed I could speak well if I practiced more. I was touched by what he said and it made me work harder on my speaking skills.
Mr. Yang continued to encourage me and I became even more confident. I improved so much that I won an English speech contest that year! I will always be grateful for Mr. Yang for his advice and support.
Write a passage about how a person or an event has changed your life in some way.
