Someone once said, "In Guta Ra Mwari be always new no matter how long you have been a member." Do you remember the first day you came to Guta Ra Mwari? When was it? What did you have in mind? What were your expectations? Most people who join Guta Ra Mwari do so with hope for a better life than the one they are currently living.

On arrival at the gate of Guta Ra Mwari they are made aware of what is expected of them in order to achieve their dream life. Some of the instructions given at the gate include worshipping God alone through the name God and not any other names. New members are also told to refrain from the use of traditional doctors, prophets or herbs received from them. Those who have more than one wife are told not to marry any more wives and those with only one wife discover that it is taboo to have extra marital affairs.

New congregates listen to the instructions intensely and make a vow to abide by those rules. Three months later they take a membership card which is an oath between them and God that indeed they have been born again and will now live as a child of God on earth.

They are thus now full members of the Guta Ra Mwari religion who are expected to spread the gospel about the good life they have received in the beloved religion. Some resort to song and record riveting melodies which spread the gospel. Some spread the gospel through the way they carry themselves.

God once taught about how Abraham got blessed. Apparently he had seen some people passing by going about with God's work. From the way they walked he deduced that they were holy men. God says there's a way holy people walk and carry themselves. It is different from mere mortals. Indeed whether we are at school, work, swimming, dancing, talking, laughing, eating, sleeping we are the children rather than people of God.

We should carry ourselves that way so that people can want to be part of the children of God through us. As we delve deeper into the year of 2019 may God revive the spirit of spreading the healing gospel from within each and every one of us. Happy reading.

Extract from Lesson four: A pure soul makes a body live longer and healthy in the worldThe human body as a whole is very strong as it is meant to last many years. The time taken depends on you, the soul, by living a moral life. The head, through its contents, is your controlling tower from which you rule your whole body in all senses. You must not expect to see the evil spirits. These enemies are as invisible as you are. You take My blessing, My advice if at all you like a healthy longer life. I Am God, the Creator.

The challengers of truth influence you to stay in your pains with their bare faith or praying for your quick, physical death so that you may enter the expected heaven and leave the pains in the world. There is no prophet or prophetess of Truth of Heavenly Authority that rendered such service at all. Why is it then, I do not encourage any person to die quickly so that I take him with Me? The earthly world would then be of no use.

WHERE IS GOD WHEN IT HURTS?Do you ever feel like you are alone? Do you ever feel like the walls are crushing in on you and nobody seems to notice or at least try and help? Do you ever feel like God is not there anymore or as if you are actually trying to communicate with Him but he is not paying attention to you whatsoever? This is a familiar feeling when one is going through the worst, when one is in pain and when one is hurting. We often turn to God in such moments, cry and plead with him for help, even if it's just reducing the load a little. However it often feels as if He is never there or paying attention. Then one gets to ask themselves, where is God when it hurts? Now, pay attention dear reader. All these I have been mentioning are feelings. I haven't mentioned the facts of the matter, on what exactly will be happening when one is in pain and hurting.

Allow me to take you back to the story of Moses in the Holy Bible. Being a man of faith in God and having given his whole life to God, God saw it fit for Moses to go and deliver his children from the land of Egypt. He then went to Egypt as God had commanded him and it was not an easy journey. They went through trials and tribulations, the faith of the people was tested many a times but God always proved to be God who stands by his word all the time. However despite being a man who was faithful and loyal to God through it all, Moses was denied access to the land of milk and honey right at the last bit of it all. The least he could do was watch from a distance as the rest of the people he had leaded crossed over the Jordan River. The only thing that made him not enter Cannon was his lack of trust in God, that period when he went through the "Where is God?" moment.

The story of Moses becomes an eye opener to us as the children of God; it makes us see that God is always there through it all. Another man who is a famous pastor by the name T.D. Jakes says God is always there in that storm that one would be going through. He acknowl-edges that it is merely impossible to see God in the storm for it comes with so much terror and harshness, he then goes on to say one should not take the presence of the storm in your life to indicate the absence of God in the storm, and therefore one has to walk by faith. In wrap-ping up the talk, he says "don't be so aware of the storm such that you lose the awareness of God in the storm''.

Then God says in the Combined Volumes, ''many are called but only a few are chosen''. This being said to us as Guta Ra Mwari children means that our lives are never going to be a smooth sail. Take for instance the twelve chosen families, they had to go through trials and tribulations, they had to go through storms and they had to feel the pain. We always hear them testify that it was not easy. Proving that when God has chosen you, it can never be an easy journey. Quite often we are misguided and distracted by what the world constantly offers

our souls and in so doing, we disregard the most if not essential aspect of our lives which is the fact that on this earth, as the children birthed by the promise, we live in spirit and not by flesh. One could be asking themselves what this means. Now, having been clothed by the Holy Spirit, everything we do, commit to, plan to do and even the difficulties we face, we ought to perceive them from the spiritual realm. When life gets twisted the flesh decodes that as the absence of God in our lives. However by virtue of being of the spirit, we should never be moved nor shaken for such instances are a test in our spiritual lives as to how much faith we have in God.

DO YOU WANT WHAT OTHERS HAVE?“I never enjoyed my youth. I never minded those who laughed at the way l walked, that was my style [of walking]. I was so free that l did not give this matter any serious thought. I accept-ed that it was what l had been given”. Therefore, children know that as you grow, God takes care of you. Don’t be a boastful child, rejoice over what you have. Be patient, so that God grants you what is due to you. That is the good spirit you must have. There is a lot l went through.”

An emotional read, one would define it, but what is the key or essential message being outlined here? God, the spirit, is quiet in that instance, as the incarnate retells the most difficult part of His growing up story. It was hurtful, tough and trying but through courage, humility fused with the Holy Spirit and faith, he pulled through and became a man who stood amongst other man, a man of dignity, a man who was well respected, a man of great stature, a man of God. Perhaps you could be asking yourself what you are getting into. I thought l would give the title some life and some resonance based on a true-life event that occurred. What does this really mean for a Guta Ra Mwari child, given his or her life space today? At some point in our lives, it is very important to pause everything, pull a chair, sit down and just do an introspection by asking ourselves some of these questions:- Do l or have l identified the gift that God has given me?- Am I at peace, happy and content with what God has provided and continues to provide me with?- Do I often express my gratitude and praise to God for the gift or calling that he has given me?- Do l want or envy more than what God has blessed me with?

It has become more prevalent in our world today that we fail to realise that God has already blessed each and every one of us with our unique special gifts, voices and callings. We, however, have nurtured the spirit of greediness and envy and we find ourselves constantly craving for what others have. We fail to accept and nourish our own gifts and look forward to God giving us even more, so that the world can look at us and marvel. We have side-lined the patience that He requires us to have through His word, the patience to wait for Him to grant us what is duly ours. We have become so hungry for life and want even more, even what has not been destined for us. How big does your gift have to be in order for God to use you in a great way? How much more does He need to give you in order for you, the human spirit, to finally quench your thirst for even more blessings?

Through His word, Twelve lessons and fifty-two chapters of God’s work, page 104, chapter 21, He says “let it be known that God has made all things, including you, the human being whom he has PLACED ABOVE ALL HIS CREATION at His own will and time. What essence does such a blessing have to you as a human being? Prior to being gifted, God has already exonerated you above everything else that He Has created on earth.

As a precaution, the same God, through the Combined Volumes, page 244, chapter 263, says, “Do not envy what others have, unless if you are developing a spirit of exhaustion. Simply being exhausted by life and having desires of that life from the outside.”

The realisation that God has blessed you, gifted you with the most amazing and prestigious unique gift of all will help you open your mind, soul and spirit to accept that what you have is more than enough for you.

There is absolutely no need to look beyond your space and envy or plead for more once you are content and spiritually quenched with what God has designed for you. The only and most important step to take is to partake on the journey of realizing your gift, your purpose, your calling. Use this adventure as a spiritual development to greater heights in the land of the living and that of the spirit.

FINDING YOUR PURPOSE AND SELF WORTH

WHAT IS PURPOSE?This is the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists as Dr Google says. In other words it is the reason for one’s existence and why God has put you on this earth.

SELF DISCOVERY + PASSION + VALUES = PURPOSE

    IMPORTANCE OF FINDING YOUR PURPOSE

    - UNLOCKING YOUR TRUE POTENTIALThe process of knowing your life’s purpose involves identifying and unlocking your soul’s gifts (natural talents) which will allow you to live to your highest and true potential.

It is far easier to turn your talents into strengths by developing them further with practice and further learning than to develop strengths that are not aligned with your natural talents or soul’s gifts.

Having a clear idea of your life’s purpose will inevitably conscientise you to your soul’s gifts. With this, you will be able to unlock your true potential through development and applying your acquired knowledge to your daily living and work.

    - YOUR PASSION FOR LIFEIn my own soul journey and the search for my life’s purpose, I experienced hardships and a lot of challenges so much that I felt like I could not keep on living. I kept climbing the career ladder thinking that my accomplishments would increase my self-worth, this did not happen. Instead I felt a deep dissatisfac-tion as my life lacked meaning and purpose.

The biggest lesson I learnt during my journey was that choosing a path or career for the sole purpose of safety and earning lots of money overshadows one’s opportunity to identity their passion and purpose.

My life’s purpose and my career choice were very different however; I have had to do both so as to live by my own terms. Discovering my life’s purpose has allowed me to wake up every morning excited to do what I love. Through my journey to self-discovery, I learnt that motivational speaking is my life’s purpose. Changing people’s lives through motivational speaking has transformed my life inside out. I know myself and that my contribution to society is significant.

    - MAKING A REAL CONTRIBUTION TO THE WORLDFinding our life’s purpose allows us to contribute more to the world and make a difference. We feel a sense of accomplishment as we will be doing what really matters to us. This then gives us a platform to build and leave a legacy in which we are proud of. This is what gives our life meaning and worth. - HEALTH AND WELLNESSLiving our life’s purpose gives us more control over our life and happiness, therefore reducing stress on our body systems. Alleviating these stresses through knowing and living our life’s purpose will inevitably lead to a better mental and physical health.

SELF DISCOVERYSometimes I find myself totally lost in the dark. Having to follow the same route that has been designed for me. Like a new-born, I still find myself in the middle of nowhere without a map or compass to give me hope and guidance to get me home.

I spent the best years of my life going to school to learn how to do something and I was not sure what that something was, but I still went to class, did homework and studied for tests but never found my way home.

In this world, books won’t lead you to the right path sometimes. All the education and intelligence in the world can’t complete you. One can get straight A’s for life, but they will never tell you who they are. School teaches you nothing about yourself. The discovery of oneself is the most valuable lesson that I was never taught.

    - A WAY TO DISCOVERYSelf-taught. You will have to learn all the lessons you teach yourself. You will have to learn what interests you the most. This is when you begin to understand that the best way to learn about yourself is to simply look in the mirror, the reflection that you see shows the real you.

Self-awareness - Being sure of yourself by setting standards and understanding exactly what you want. Most people have no idea who they are and you can easily tell by their attitude and life’s choices, there-fore it is vital for one to really understand who they really are so as to guide and give them courage in making life choices.

Self-worth- Getting to know oneself is a beautiful never-ending discovery that will help you advance in every aspect of life. When you know your self-worth, you will live a healthier life and have good relationships with others. Knowing what you like and do not like will drive you towards the right people, in the same way it will make you drive past those whom you know are no good for you.

    FINDING YOUR PASSION

    - PASSIONA STRONG feeling of excitement for something or about doing something.

    - HOW CAN I FIND MY PASSION • Find out what you love to do and what comes easy to you. • Ask yourself what qualities you enjoy expressing the most. • Follow your heart and inner guidance. • Find out your vision. • Align your goals with your life’s purpose and passion.

    - VALUES AS A WAY OF DISCOVERING YOUR PURPOSE AND PASSION • What do you consider most important to you in your life, what do you want to live by and live for? • Principles that govern one’s life on how he or she should live their lives. • Values define who you are and sometimes are aligned to someone’s goals.

Below are the values that govern me:

    - TABOKA’S VALUES • Discipline • Respect for myself and others • Integrity • Self-development

GOALS LEADING TO YOUR PURPOSE AND PASSION

What one wants to achieve in life, either short or long-term goals. These goals have to be SMART. Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Timely. In other words these goals should be simple and easy to reach.

    - TABOKA’S GOALS • Excellence in all the activities that I do. • Run an NGO that is based on improving people’s lives. • Graduate in 2019. • Be a great leader to all the people I work with. • Leave a positive legacy in this world.

FINDING YOUR WORTHWhat is self-worth? A direct measure of how you value and regard yourself despite what others may say or do. It cannot be easily changed by external factors or any other circumstances.

It holds power to radically transform your life for the better. Having an unshakable faith in yourself, in your ability to follow through and get things done.

Recognising the real value of who you are, never allowing yourself to be defined by the outside forces, this includes never allowing the outcomes in life to shake your confidence and your faith.

    HOW TO BUILD YOUR SELF-WORTH

    - SELF UNDERSTANDINGIt involves self-discovery, self-reflection, having an understanding of what you can and can’t change about yourself, accepting and learning to live with it. What’s important is to know your strength, weak-nesses and values.

    - SELF ACCEPTANCEFor one to reach self-acceptance they have to firstly refrain from comparing themselves to others. "You deceive yourself by comparing the best in you with the worst in others and naturally you do not seem to be all that bad." twelve lesson chapter 29 vs. 15. It’d be rather beneficial for them to challenge their inner critical voice. Secondly, pursuing activities that are meaningful to them and acting in line with their own personal beliefs is also important.

Dalai Lama once said, “We cannot obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves." This helps one to maintain their integrity in life as they consciously ensure that their actions correspond with their words. It is important to learn to live life without being influenced by a lot of internal and external environments, to accept yourself just the way you are, have control of your life and not to allow yourself to be shaken by anything. Lastly, “You can succeed if nobody believes it but you will never succeed if you do not believe in yourself”, J. H.William.

    - SELF LOVETreating yourself with the same kindness and compassion as you would treat someone else. This involves one’s attitude, for instance accepting and loving yourself and your experiences rather than being self-criti-cal.

    - RECOGNITIONAdding meaning to your life, knowing what defines you as an individual. Your strengths and values like, taking part in activities that you feel are important. Some people may feel important and others may feel that their religion correlates with a higher sense of self-worth in the youth or adolescent stage. People find meaning in different ways, think about the activities and interests that feel meaningful to you personally and pursue those activities to build a more positive feeling of self-worth.

    - RESPONSIBILITYTaking full responsibility of your life, making appropriate choices and having a full understanding of the impacts of those decisions you put in place.

DID YOU FIND YOUR PURPOSE NOW?
