    A smaller school like

    Glenville State College helps

    a student nd themselves fully

    through better relationships

    with peers and professors.

    Those friendships have become

    great references when going

    through the application process

    for furthering my education.

How GSC Prepared Recent Alumni for Their Next StepGraduated from GSC: 2008

    Now attending: WVU Law School

My time at GSC fully prepared me to further my

education past the undergraduate level and

specically for law school. The curriculum, specically in my Criminal Justice and Psychology

majors, but also the general courses laid a strong

educational foundation so that I was condent in

approaching each class in law school. The hands

on approach to class and intellectual discussions

also were very important as they prepared me

for the debates and discussions I have with my

peers and professors in discussing different

aspects and variations of the law.

    Justin GriffithGraduated from GSC: 2006

Now attending: Thomas Cooley Law School

GSCs criminal justice program provided me

with the proper combination of knowledge,

skills, and ethics that enabled me to be

    a successful law student.

Being a college student is about more than just classes. Thats why GSC offers a wide range of extracurricular opportunities from sky diving to studentgovernment. Special events, such as concerts and programs, are the norm here, and theres a club or organization to suit nearly every taste. Greek lifealso has a strong presence on campus, and intramural sports are popular with GSC students. Taking part in extracurricular activities enhances the collegeexperience and helps to create friendships that can last a lifetime.

Our High Adventure program plans several excursions during the school year that take students all around the state. Biking, whitewater rafting, and skiingare all just some examples of the fun. We also have many on campus activities for students to enjoy. It isnt unusual to nd comedians that are sure tohave your side splitting, hypnotists that amaze and astound, and speakers that share their wisdom.

There are also several Greek groups at GSC. The sororities and fraternities work hard to give back to the community through service projects and

volunteer work. They also give us some of the best oats during Homecoming.

While the semester is winding down and students are preparing to take their nal exams, the campus is christened with a fresh blanket of snow to makeit feel more like winter and to let them know that Winter break is right around the corner.

During this time, there are different activities for students to take a break from studying. We offer midnight breakfast, ice cream night, and taco night withgames. There are also different Resident Assistant programs to help students relieve stress from all of the classroom activity. The most important part

about this time frame is students get to go home to spend quality time with their families before the new semester begins.
