LED – die Lichtquelle der Zukunft

LED steht für Licht Emittierende Diode. LED’s erzeugen ihr Lichtdurch Halbleiter-Effekte und nicht durch das Erhitzen eines Glüh-drahtes, wie bei einer Glühlampe. Die Lichtausbeute bei einerGlühlampe liegt zwischen 3 und 5%, der einer LED dagegenzwischen 30 und 35%.

In den vergangenen Jahrzehnten wurden LED’s vornehmlich alsSignalleuchten in verschiedenen Farben eingesetzt. Seit einigenJahren werden Weiss-Licht-LED’s auch für Beleuchtungszweckeeingesetzt.

LEISEGANG bietet für seine Kolposkope eine LED-Beleuchtunghöchster Intensität an, welche mit herkömmlichen Kaltlichtpro-jektoren und 150W Lampenleistung vergleichbar ist. Das LED-Licht bietet bei einer Farbtemperatur von ~5.500 Kelvineinen wesentlich verbesserten Kontrast und der Einsatz desGrünfilters ist kaum noch notwendig.

LED – The Light Source of the Future

LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. LED lamps generate light bymeans of semiconductors, whereas filament lamps produce lightby heating a filament. The light output of filament lamps is only3 to 5 percent compared to 30 to 35 percent of LED lamps.

LEDs of various colors have been used primarily as indicatorlights for decades. White light LEDs for illumination purposeswere introduced more recently.

LEISEGANG colposcopes use LED lighting systems that achievethe highest possible illumination intensity with a light outputcomparable to that of a conventional cold light projector or a150 W light bulb. The LED color temperature of ~5500 Kelvinprovides such a significant improvement of contrast that it large-ly eliminates the need for a green filter.

LEISEGANG is currently the only supplier of colposcopy systemswith an ultra-bright spotlight that achieves 45,000 Lux at a wor-king distance of 300 mm.

Diese Kolposkope bieten eine einfache Erstel-lung von Bildern bei höchster Brillianz. Starkabgeblendete Objektive sorgen für eine großeSchärfentiefe. Stärker als die Beobachtungsob-jektive abgeblendete Aufnahmeobjekte verhin-dern Vignettierungen durch das Spekulum. These colposcopes make it easy to record high-resolution images. Small-aperture lenses are usedto achieve a large depth of field. The photo/video lens has a smaller aperture than the vie-wing lens to prevent vignetting via the speculum.The combined depth of field and shutter releasesettings remain fixed until the moment the shut-ter is released. Beam splitters are not used.

Model 3MVModel 3MV has the same features as Model 1D plus either aUSB camera or a Y/C camera. The cameras have virtually thesame performance features as our standard external videocamera with an S-video connection. Model 3MV features a three-step photo/ video and visual mag-nification changer (see also the “Technical Details”). The systemcomes with an integrated USB or S-video cable – there are nofurther camera cables. The USB interface option allows you tosimply connect Model 3MV to a PC or laptop computer and in-stall the supplied software - you will then be ready to generateimages for documentation of findings. We recommend the useof the optional LeiseCap Software, which has special featuresfor highly convenient cross-linkage between patient data, exa-mination findings, and follow-up data (see also “LeiseCap Soft-ware”). Integrated modules of the Leisecap Standard software

Video moduleLive video viewing in real time. Images and video recording in fullresolution by foot switch, mouse or keyboard. Recorded imagesand videos are automatically assigned to the selected patient andcan be saved in the database or displayed in the image proces-sing as required.

Image processing moduleThe module can be used to modify previously recorded imagesas required. Regions of interest can be processed with filters suchas a magnification or histogram functions and symbols and textcan be inserted. Processed images can be easily exported or prin-ted. Processed images can be added to the database and imagesalready saved to the database are not changed.

Database moduleThe database module allows recording and administration of allpatient, examination and image data. Viewing and sorting canbe configured as required.Integrated quickprint and export functions allow you to printimages for subsequent use and to export them to other datamedia. Selected images can be sent anonymised by e-mail if youwant a second opinion. Selected images, including from earlierexaminations, can be displayed side by side for evaluation of theprogress of a disease.

Print module The document print module offers the option of printing outyour own print templates with patient data and images and pro-cessing them as required. All documents can be saved to thedatabase for a history or subsequent printouts. In addition, youcan save the completed documents in RTF-format or exportthem to Microsoft Word.

Preparation of print formsThe print form editor makes it quick and easy to create formswith placeholders for database fields and images. It has all thefunctions of a modern word-processing program with paragraphcontrol, tables, header and footer, placeholders for date, pagenumbering etc.If you already have templates in Word or RTF-format, they can beeasily imported and the required placeholders can be inserted.Images can be laid out by drag and drop and the size of theimages can be defined as desired.Images and logos can be permanently placed in the documentfor printing out your own notes.

Canon digital camera moduleThis module allows high-resolution Canon EOS digital camerasto be used with Leisecap. The camera is fully controlled byLeisecap, and images can be recorded by foot switch or key-board. All recorded images are automatically transferred toLeisecap and allocated to the active patient.

Database searchThe database search module allows you to conduct simple andcomplex database searches and save them for later use. For ease of orientation the results of the search are displayed inthe same way as on the database page. Search results can beexported to Microsoft Word or Excel for subsequent evaluation.

Document databaseAll documents that are printed can be saved in the documentdatabase. The import function is used to scan your documentsand import them from a data medium. The document databasealso supports PDF files. Previously printed documents and their printouts can be postpro-cessed in the document window.

Zur Vereinfachung der Orientierung werden die Ergebnisse derSuche in der gleichen Art dargestellt wie auf der Datenbankseite.Suchergebnisse können für eine weitere Auswertung nach Mi-crosoft Word oder Microsoft Excel exportiert werden.

DokumentendatenbankIn der Dokumentendatenbank können alle Dokumente, die Sieausdrucken, gespeichert werden. Die Importfunktion ermöglichtIhnen Dokumente zu scannen bzw. von einem Datenträger zuimportieren. Die Dokumentendatenbank unterstützt auch PDFDateien. Das Dokumentenfenster gestattet die nachträgliche Bearbeitungbereits gedruckter Dokumente und deren Ausdruck.

Address book The address book gives you the opti-on of adding not only the patient reference but also addressdata. This is an advantage if you want to write referrals to col-leagues.

Dictionary You can save frequently used senten-ces or longer words in the dictionary with a short identification.Specific terms can also be classified into subgroups by assigninga category.

Health insurance card reader The health insurance cardreader module can be used to import patient data directly intothe program from the health insurance card. The patient on thecard is automatically the current patient, which makes it un-necessary to switch to the database page first. All Towitoko chipcard readers are supported.

GDT/BDT interface The GDT module allows the programto be connected to existing practice software that supports theGDT interface. The practice software creates a file with the newpatient data when the patient is changed. This files in continu-ously monitored and saved by the program when it is modified.The read-out patient is now active.

Serial letter module The serial letter module allows you towrite to a subset of your patients or your colleagues using theaddress book.

Word export The Word export module allows youto insert images, videos and the associated data at specifiedlocations in a Word document. Any desired Word document canbe selected. Word export is available from all parts of the pro-gram at which images can be displayed.

Powerpoint export The PowerPoint module makes iteasy to insert images, videos and notes into a new or existingpresentation. All images and videos are copied to a directory, sothe presentation can run on other computers without difficulty.You can set an appropriate PowerPoint template to link back-grounds or specific properties when creating the presentation.

Adressbuch Mit dem Adressbuch haben Sie dieMöglichkeit, Dokumente nicht nur mit Patientenbezug, sondernzusätzlich mit Adressdaten zu versehen. Dies ist von Vorteil wennSie z.B. Überweisungen an Kollegen schreiben wollen.

Wörterbuch Im Wörterbuch können Sie häufiggebrauchte Sätze oder längere Wörter mit einer kurzen Bezeich-nung abspeichern. Einzelne Begriffe können dabei noch durchAngabe einer Kategorie in Untergruppen unterteilt werden.

KV-Kartenleser Mit dem KV-Kartenleser Modul ist esmöglich Patientendaten direkt über die Krankenversicherungs-karte in das Programm einzulesen. Der ausgelesene Patient istautomatisch der aktuelle Patient, so dass nicht erst auf die Da-tenbankseite gewechselt werden muss. Es werden alle TowitokoChipkartenleser unterstützt.

GDT/BDT Schnittstelle Mit dem GDT Modul ist es möglichdie Software an eine vorhandene Praxissoftware, die die GDT-Schnittstelle unterstützt, anzubinden. Dabei wird von der Praxis-software bei einem Patientenwechsel eine Datei mit den neuenPatientendaten geschrieben. Diese Datei wird ständig überwachtund bei Veränderung vom Programm eingelesen. Der ausgelese-ne Patient ist nun aktiv.

Serienbriefmodul Mit dem Serienbriefmodul haben Siedie Möglichkeit, eine Auswahl Ihrer Patienten oder, über dasAdressbuch, Ihrer Kollegen anzuschreiben.

Word Export Das Word-Export-Modul bietet Ihnendie Möglichkeit, Bilder, Videos und die zugehörigen Daten anvorgegebenen Stellen in ein WORD Dokument einzufügen. Dasgewünschte Word Dokument ist frei wählbar. Der Word Exportist an allen Stellen im Programm möglich, an denen Bilder ange-zeigt werden.

Powerpoint Export Mit dem PowerPoint-Export Modulkönnen Sie komfortabel Bilder, Videos und Notizen in eine neueoder vorhandene Präsentation einfügen. Alle Bilder und Videoswerden dazu in ein Verzeichnis kopiert, so dass die Präsentationauch problemlos auf anderen Rechnern lauffähig ist. Um Hintergründe oder besondere Eigenschaften schon beim An-legen der Präsentation mit einzubinden, haben Sie die Möglich-keit eine passende „PowerPoint Vorlage“ vorzugeben.
