Strengths of the University
1.Complete FacilitiesWith three campuses at Longkunnan,
Guilinyang, and Lingshan, Hainan Normal University covers an area of 1,500,000 square meters. We also have 2 key laborato-ries co-founded by Hainan Province and the Ministry of Education, 3 provincial key laboratories, 1 national model center of experimental teaching and 5 provincial model centers of experimental teaching. We offer 205 internship bases for students and 157,500,000 volumes of books in the library for students and teachers.
With multi-media classrooms, students’ reading rooms and multi-media terrace report halls, the buildings for Chinese language teaching occupy 3,500 square meters. The Chinese culture experience museum boasts an area of 4,489 square meters, including a Chinese traditional
handicraft classroom, costume and textile exhibition hall, calligraphy and painting exhibition hall, tea art demonstration hall and Chinese martial art hall.

Introduction
Hainan Normal University is located in Haikou, the capital of Hainan Province. Established in 1949, it is one of the key universities in Hainan in terms of overall strength. The school comprises 18 faculties and 30 research institutions. There are 53 undergraduate majors, 9 provincial key disciplines, 4 provincial research bases of humanities and social sciences, 11 first-level master disciplines and 4 first-level doctoral disciplines. In the school, 869 faculty members, including 462 with senior professional skill qualification, instruct over 20,000 students.
The university started to enroll international students in 1988. Now it is one of the first schools approved to admit international students by State Education Commission, one of the first Chinese education bases established by Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, the school with Chinese Government Scholarship and Hainan Government Scholarship available for international students, is the Southeast Asian Teachers’ Training Base for Promotion of Chinese, under the approval of Confucius Institute Headquarters / Hanban, and the site for HSK in Hainan.
At present, the university has undertaken academic exchanges with over 100 universities and education institutions, established sister relationship with 35 foreign universities and education institutions, and cooperated with 8 universities in cultivation of talents.

4.About Hainan and Haikou
•Hainan Island lies on the same latitude as Hawaii, and is therefore often referred to as China's Hawaii. With an average temperature of 23.8℃, it has a long summer and no winter. The province has an area of 34,000 sq km. With its enormous maritime area, Hainan Province borders the neighboring countries of Vietnam and the Philippines.
•Hainan’s main rivers originate from the mountainous centre and flow in different directions towards the coastal plains. The island’s highest peak is Wuzhishan, standing 1867 m.
•The island has a volcanic origin, with a rugged mountainous centre surrounded by coastal plains on all sides. Hainan has 1528 km of coastline with numerous superb sandy beaches.
•Hainan has more than 4,000 species of plants, 344 species of birds and 77 kinds of animals, of which gibbons, rhesus monkeys and civet cats have been put under state protection.
•Haikou is Hainan’s capital and with a population of about 2 million, it is also its largest city. Often referred to as the city of coconut palms, Haikou is the political, economical and cultural center of the island. It also features great shopping, dining, golf and entertainment options.

Enrollment Procedure1. Application. The applicant can submit the application by email or fax. The application form can be requested from the school or can be downloaded from the school website.2. The applicant shall send the application form, a scanned copy of their physical examination certificate and a colored scanned copy of their passport to the email of the International Students Enrollment Office of the School of International Cultural Exchange, Hainan Normal University. In addition, the applicant for diploma education shall also submit a diploma copy, school report, HSK certificate and other materials.3. Examination of qualification. Your qualification for any program will be examined. Once approved, you will receive a letter of admission.4. Payment of tuition. Hainan Normal University offers spring and autumn sessions. Typically, the former lasts from March to July, and the latter from September to January of next year.
