• The National Tax Board allowed Hakon Invest a tax deduction in respect of losses on the shareholding in the Dutch company Royal Ahold for tax years 2002-2005, which had a positive effect on income tax of SEK 350 M in the first quarter.

• The ICA Group's revenues increased by 20.5%, including Rimi Baltic which is consolidated from January 1, 2007. Excluding Rimi Baltic, the increase was 5.2%. Profit for the period fell to SEK 341 M (465).

According to a National Tax Board decision, Hakon Invest has been allowed a tax deduction with regard to the change in value of the shareholding in the Dutch company Royal Ahold. The tax deduction relates to an unutilized deficit during the income years 2002-2005.

• The tax expense Hakon Invest reported for the years 2004-2006 will be reversed and provide a positive earnings impact of SEK 67 M (current tax) during the first quarter of 2007.

• A preliminary tax deduction of approximately SEK 325 M for Hakon Invest. This will be recognized as a deferred tax asset to the extent it is expected to be utilized in the next coming years.

ICA Eiendom AS has sold the Sjølyst Arken property, west of Oslo, to Klaveness Eiendom AS. The sale will have a positive effect on ICA's operating profit in the amount of approximately NOK 90 M in 2007. The buyer will take over the property on February 1, 2007. The effect in the accounts on earnings for Hakon Invest, which owns 40 percent of ICA AB, taking into account the reported surplus value, is approximately SEK 26 M.

Som en del av affären tar ICA över 21 Netto-butiker i Mälardalsområdet för konvertering av vissa till ICA-butiker. Överenskommelsen genererar en strukturkostnad för ICA AB om cirka 25 MSEK under fjärde kvartalet i år. Transaktionen förutsätter ett godkännande av konkurrensmyndigheterna vilket beräknas vara klart under första kvartalet 2007.

Today ICA AB and Dansk Supermarked have signed an agreement regarding ownership changes in Netto. ICA will reduce its stake in Netto from 50 percent to 5 percent. As part of the deal ICA will acquire 21 Netto stores in the Mälardalen area to convert some of them into ICA stores. The agreement is generating a structural cost for ICA AB of approximately SEK 25 million during the fourth quarter. This transaction is subject to approval from the competition authorities, which is expected to be finalized in the first quarter of 2007.
