Home of Champions
The Robinson Athletic Hall of Fame
Robinson Secondary School is known in Northern Virginia as “The Home of Champions”
and it is a well deserved accolade for both State Championship teams, great Coaches, and out-
standing athletes. After more than 40 years of athletic excellence, a group of present and past
staff members decided it was time to recognize this excellence and establish the Robinson
Athletic Hall of Fame.
Due to the sheer numbers of State Championship teams and athletes who have been recog-
nized as All Region, All Met, All State, and All-Americans, It was necessary to prioritize the
eligibility of worthy candidates. The Committee decided that for the first 5 years of induc-
tions, Coaches must be retired and athletes will have been graduated for 15 years. In addition,
first consideration for induction would be given to those with any combination of: multiple
All State/Met selections, multiple State Championships, professional careers. After 5 years,
the criteria for selection will reviewed by the Committee.
The Robinson family is pleased to honor our Hall of Fame Inductees. A plaque with their pic-
ture and accomplishments will proudly be displayed on the “Wall of Fame” at Robinson so
that current and future Ram athletes can see firsthand why our school is called the Home of
Champions. Who knows how many young people will walk past each day and say to them-
selves, “I will be on this wall someday.”
