The Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health is home to the most sophisticated and cutting-edge health systems team in the world—the authors of Getting Health Reform Right and experts who guide departments and ministries of health around the globe (and corporations and NGOs that work with them) to improve their health systems’ outcomes, equity, and value.

This special program offers a rare opportunity to learn directly from the School’s leading faculty about health system analysis and strategies and how to put them into practice to achieve your key system objectives.

The education is immersive. As a participant, you will be introduced to the health system analysis and optimization frameworks developed by Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health faculty and leave the program having gained the skills to use them to lead health system improvement and innovation initiatives.

You will also learn the strategies that make a health system more responsive and more resilient. These system traits are particularly important given the dynamic contexts in which health systems now operate.

Payment Policy Payment must be received in US funds to process your registration. Payment by credit card is strongly preferred (Visa, MasterCard, AmEx). Checks must be drawn from a US bank and made payable to: Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health ECPE. Please be sure the participant’s name is on the check. Note: Please do not make non-refundable flight arrangements until you have received confirmation of your accepted application and paid registration from us.

Cancellation Policy All requests for cancellations must be made in writing. Cancellations on or before August 8, 2016 will be issued a refund less a $150 administrative fee per person. Cancellations received between August 9, 2016 and September 4, 2016 will be issued a refund of 50%. After September 5, 2016, no refund will be issued. Application Criteria Education/experience commensurate with professional achievement and organizational responsibility, as noted in this brochure. Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential for a successful learning experience in the program. If you are not a US citizen or permanent resident, you must obtain appropriate immigration status. Letters of invitation for visa applications will be supplied only after full payment is processed.

Please note: A laptop or other portable personal computing device is strongly recommended for course enrollees.

The program takes place at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, located in the heart of the Harvard Longwood Campus in Boston. Public transportation is readily available to the city’s many shopping districts, museums, and restaurants.

APPLICATION

Program Fee: $5,200Fee includes continental breakfasts, lunches, refreshment breaks, evening reception, comprehensive web-based reference materials, continuing education credits, and certificate of participation from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Please note applicants to Health Systems: Improving Outcomes, Equity, and Value will be admitted on a competitive basis, once an application has been completed and submitted, at least four weeks before the program start date. Admission is selective and based on professional achievement and organizational responsibility. We also seek an overall mix of participants that reflects a broad range of countries and backgrounds and who can enrich others’ learning experience. Early application is encouraged.
