Made for Erasmus+ Let‘s save the life on our planet

We explored plant and medicinal herbs in our region and we learnt something new about them in this project.

We were interested also in trees, which grow in our town and our school park.

We made herbarium in electronic and paper form.

It was amazing activity, because we know better our nature in our region now.

ZLATOVKA PREVISNUTÁ FORSYTHIA SUSPEZA

In Slovakia we call it Zlatý dážď- Gold rain

It is a bush and it can grow to the hight of 2-4 meters

It comes from China, but we can find it in Slovakia even we found it in our school park.

We took it in May 2016.

HVIEZDICA PROSTREDNÁ – STELLARIA MEDIA

Slovak title is Hviezdica prostredná.

Science title is Stellaria media.

Flowers are small and white, with five leaves.

It grows in thick vegetation.

We found it near the coast of river Žitava in September 2016.

It blooms from March to October

SKOROCEL VÄČŠÍ PLANTAGO MAJOR

Skorocel was already used in ancient Greece.

It grows in the hight if 10-60 cm.

It is a medicinal plant. It heals respiratory

system. We can use everything:

leaves, flowers, roots. We can find it in our

school park.

HLOŠINA ÚZKOLISTÁ- ELEAGNUS

ANGUSTIFOLIA Slovak title is Hlošina

úzkolistá. Science title is eleagnus

angustifolia. It is fast grow bush or

small trees from Asia. It can grow in Slovakia

too, and we found it in our town park.

MLIEČNIK OKRÚHLOLISTÝ TITHYMALUS PEPLUS

The plant has got little yellow flovers.

It grows to hight of 10- 30 cm.

The whole plant is full of poisonous white milk.

It grows on lowlands and mountains.

We found it near the river Žitava in Vráble region.

SEDMOKRÁSKA OBYČAJNÁ- BELLIS

PERENIS Slovak title is

Sedmokráska obyčajná. Science title is Bellis perenis. It is small plants. It

grows in 10 cm. It is medical plant. Flowers are small and white and in the middle they are yellow.

ISKERNÍK HĽUZNATÝ- RANUNCULUS BULDOSUS

Slovak title is Iskerník hľuznatý.

Science title is Ranuncules buldosus.

It grows in 30 cm. It grows from April to

October. We can find it also in

Slovakia except the HighTatras.

PODBEĽ LIEČIVÝ- TUSSILAGO FARFARA

Slovak title is Podbeľ liečivý.

Science title is Tussilago Farfara.

It is herb. Medical effects: cough, lungs and bronchi.

Flowers are yellow and small.

It grows in Europe, Asia and Northern Africa. We can find it in Slovakia too.

It blooms from March to April.

KUKUČKA VENCOVÁ- LYCHNIS CORANARIA

Slovak title is Kukučka vencová.

Science title is Lychnis coranaria.

It grows to 30-100 cm. Flower has five purple

leaves. It blooms from July to

September. We can find it in

Europe, Asia and America. It grows in Slovakia too.

JEDĽA BI ELA ABIES ALBA European silver fir has

straight trunk, pine needles don´t tingle, pine cones grow up. They can be 10-20cm long. Needles can be 2-3cm long.

For fir it is very good cold and rainy place.

It can grow up to 50 m. It can be located in the

mountain and foothill forests.

We found them in our school park in January 2017.

BORLOVICA LIMBOVÁ PINUS CEMBRA

It grows for a long time, 400 until 1000 years.

It grow to 20 m hight.

Cones are 5-8cm long. Color is brown.

We find them in our school park in Januar 2017.

This is only part of plants which we tried to know better.

This presentation helped us much to know nature in our country.
