Introduction 簡介

VMware vCloud Director is a self-service portal providing a user-friendly environment

for automated operations management, virtual machine and application provisioning. It is

web-based console on top of vCenter and could be accessed through Internet from your

web browser.

VMware 的 vCloud Director 是一个自助服务平台, 它提供一个易於使用的环境來管

理 VMware 的自动化操作，虚拟机和应用程序配置。这平台是基于 vCenter 之上的

1. vCloud Director requirement | vCloud Director 使用要求

The vCloud Director Web Console has these prerequisites:

Adobe Flash Player version 11.2 or later. Only the 32-bit version is supported.

JRE 1.6.0 update 10 or later installed and enabled. Only the 32-bit version is

supported.

Windows or Linux Note: The vCloud Director Web Console is compatible only with 32-bit browsers. Where a browser is listed as supported on a 64-bit platform, use of a 32-bit browser on the 64-bit platform is implied.

2. Self-manage login portal | 登入自助管理平台

For security reasons, it is highly recommended to change the password after logon, please reference chapter 3 for

details.

Step 1: Enter user / password for self-manage login portal.

3. Change login password |变更登入密码

Step 1: Go to “Preferences”.

步骤 1: 点击“首选项”

Step 2: Click Change password tab, then Enter current and new password.

步骤 2: 点击“更改密码”, 然后输入现在和新的密码.

4. vApp creation | 建立 vApp

Step 1: “Click Build New vApp”in Home screen

步骤 1: 在主页点击 “构建新 App”.

Step 2: Enter the name of vApp, then click “Finish”

步骤 2: 输入 vApp 名称, 然后按”完成”

Step 3: Return to home screen, then open the new vApp

步骤 3:返回主页, 然后开启 vApp

Step 4: Click “Networking tab”, then click “Add Network…”

步骤 4: 点击”网络”,然后按”添加网络”

Step 5: Choose “Orgenization network”, then click “Next”

Step 6: Select the VLAN (there should be 1 VLAN avaliable) and click Finish.

5. Upload installation media (*.iso) |上载安装媒体档(*.iso)

Step 1: Create new catalogs first. Go to “Catalogs” page, then click “Add Catalog…”.

步骤 1: 首先須要加添新目录. 按”目录”, 再按”加添目录…”

Step 2: Enter new Catalog name, then click “Finish”

步骤 2: 輸入新目录名稱, 然後按完成.

Step 3: Go to “Catalogs” page, then click “Media” tab and then click “upload” icon.

步骤 3: 按”目录”, 再按”媒体”,然后按”上载”图示

Step 4: Click “Browse…” to browse the *.iso file and wait for java first time initialize.

步骤 4: 按”浏览”, 然后选取在您电脑内的 iso 档. 每当首次使用上载功能时需等

待 JAVA 初始化.

Step 5: After the upload completed, the iso file will be shown under “Media” tab.

步骤 5: 当载已完成时,iso 档会显示在”媒体”页内

6. VM creation | 建立虚拟机

Step 1: Open the vApp in home screen

步骤 1: 在主页中打开 vApp

Step 2: Click “+” to add the new VM

步骤 2: 按 “+” 添加虚拟机

Step 3: Click “New Virtual Machine…”

步骤 3: 按新建” 虚拟机”.

Step 4: Enter the name of VM and assign the vHDD, vCPU, OS, NIC…, then click “OK”

步骤 4: 输入虚拟机名称及分配硬盆大小,vCPU, 作业系统, 网卡….,然后按”确定”.

Step 5: Click “Next”

步骤 5: 按”下一步”

Step 6: Select the VLAN then click “Finish”

步骤 6: 选取 VLAN, 然后按”完成”

7. OS installation |作业系统安装

Step 1: Right click on the VM > insert CD/DVD from Catalog…

步骤 1: 在虚拟机上按右键 > 从目录插入 CD/DVD

Step 2: Select the media, then click “Insert”

步骤 2:选取媒体, 然后按” 插入”

Step 3: Right click on VM, then click “Power On”

步骤 3: 在虚拟机上按右键 ,然后按’启动”

Step 4: Right click on VM, then click “Popout Console”

Remark: Please install VMware remote console (VMRC) for first time use.

备注: 如第一次使用, 请安装 VMware 远端操緃台

Click OK to download VMRC installation file.

按确定下载 VMRC 安装档案.

Save the file to computer.

储存档案到电脑内.

Double click the downloaded file to start installation. (Please close all browser before

installation.)

双击安装档案. (安装前, 请关闭所有浏览器)

1. Click Next

2. Choose Internet Explorer or / and Firefox, then click Next

Step 5: You can now install the VM using this console.

8. VMware Tools installation | VMware 工具安装

After install OS, you need to install VMware Tools for update hardware device driver.

安装作业系统后，须要安装 VMware Tools 更新硬件驱动程序

Step 1: Right click the VM, then choose Install VMware Tools

步骤 1: 右撃虚拟机，然后选择“安装 VMware Tools”

Step 2: Run the installation on VM.

步骤 2: 在虚机上执行安装

Step 3: Start installation. Click “Next” > “Next” > “Install” > “Finish”.

步骤 3: 开始安装. 按 “下一步” > “下一步” > “安装” > “完成”.

Step 4: Restart VM

步骤 4: 重新启动虚拟机

9. Create Snapshot for VM | 建立

A snapshot preserves the state and data of a virtual machine at a specific point in time.

在一个特定的时间点的快照保留了虚拟机的状态和数据

9.1 Take Snapshot |创建快照

Step 1: Right click the VM, then choose “Create Snapshot”

步骤 1: 右撃虚拟机，然后选择“创建快照”

Step 2: Click OK to create.

步骤 2: 按 “OK”

Remark: If the VM in power on status, please tick two items.

备注: 如果虚拟机在开机状态，请钩选两个项目

9.2 Revert to Snapshot |恢复到快照

Step 1: Right click the VM, then choose “Revert to Snapshot”

步骤 1: 右撃虚拟机，然后选择“恢复到快照”

9.3 Remove Snapshot | 移除快照

10. Modify hardware configuration | 更改硬件配置

VM need on power off status to modify hareware configuration.

须要虚拟机关闭情况下更改硬件配置.

Power off the VM. If the status is “Partially Powered Off”, please right click and choose

“Power Off”. Then Click “Yes”.

关闭虚拟机, 如果状态是 “部分己关闭”, 右撃虚拟机并选择 “关闭”. 然后按 “是”.

10.1 Modify CPU | 更改处理器

Step 1: Right click the VM, then choose “Properties”.

步骤 1: 右击虚拟机，然后选“属性”.

Tick “Show Network adapter type” and choose VLAN, Adapter Type (E1000), and IP

mode.

钩选 “显示网络适配器类型” 然后选择网络, 适配器类型 (E1000), 和 IP 模式

11. Hot Add CPU / Memory / Hard Disk | 热添加处理器 / 内存 / 硬

盘

11.1 Hot Add CPU / Memory | 热添加处理器 / 内存

Add CPU / Memory on VM without power off. (need the OS support this function)

不须要关闭虚拟机加添处理器/内存. （须要作业系统支援此功能）



Step 2: Go to Gernal, tick “Virtual CPU hot add” and “Memory hot add”. (VM need on

power off status to change the setting)

步骤 2: 到常规，钩选“虚拟 CPU 热添加”和“内存热添加”. (虚拟机要在关闭情

况下才能更改设定)

Step 3: Modify CPU / Memory on VM power on status. (need the OS support this

function)

步骤 3: 在虚拟机开始情况下可以更改处理器 / 内存. （须要作业系统支援此功能）

11.2 Hot Add Hard Disk | 热添加硬盘



Step 2: Modify hard disk on VM power on status.

步骤 2: 在虚拟机开始情况下可以更改硬盘.

Remark: It can increase existing hard disk size or add new hard disk

备注: 這裡可以增加硬盘大小或添加新硬盘

The hard disk size will increase immediately without reboot VM.

不须要重新启动虚拟机情况下, 硬盘的数量会即时增加

12. View vCloud resources usage | 查看 vCloud 资源资讯

Remark: There are number of resources assigned into your origination; the VM may fail

to start if there is insufficient resources.

备注: 如果没有足够资源, 虚拟机就无法启动.

Step 1: Go to Administration > Virtual Datacenters > Monitor. You can see there are

Processor, Memory and Storage usage status.

步骤 1:开启 “管理”>”虚拟数据中心”>”监控”. 这里有 CPU,内存及存储资讯.

Step 2: Right click on Virtual datacenters > “Properties…” to show the details.

步骤 2: 虚拟数据中心上按右键 > “内容” 查看详细资讯

Step 3: Showed CPU, Memory, Storage and Network recourses.

步骤 3: 显示有关 CPU,内存及存储资讯.

13. vApp templates management | vApp 模板管理

13.1 Upload vApp |上载 vApp 模板

Step 1: Go to Catalogs > “vApp Templates”, then click upload icon.

步骤 1:开启”目录”>”vApp 模板”,然后按上载图示

Step 2: Click “Browse…” to browse the OVF package and enter the name of OVF, then

click Upload

步骤 2: 按”浏览”并选取在您电脑上所需的 OVF 软件包,及输入 OVF 的名称, 然

后按”上载”

Step 3: The OVF package will upload to catalog.

步骤 3: OVF 软件包将上载到目录上.

Remark: vSphere client for VMware workstation can export existing VM to OVF

package.

备注: VMware 工作站版本的 vSphere 客户端可汇出现有的虚拟机为 OVF 软件包

13.2 Deploy vApps from catalog | 由目录部署 vApps

Step 1: Go to My Cloud > vApps

步骤 1: 开启 My Cloud > vApps

Step 2: Select vApp Template and click “next”

步骤 2: 选取 vApp 模板, 并按”下一步”

Step 3: Enter the name of vApp, then click Next

步骤 3: 输入 vApp 的名称,然后按”下一步”

Step 4: Choose the VLAN, then click Finish.

步骤 4: 选取 VLAN, 然后按”完成”

Step 5: The VM has been created.

步骤 5: 虚拟机已成功建立

13.3 Add vApps to catalog | 新增 vApps 到目录

Step 1: Go to My Cloud > vApps, then right click VM and choose “Add to Catalog…”

步骤 1: 开启我的云 > vApps, 然后按右键并选取 “添加到目录”

Step 2: Click “OK” to Finish.

步骤 2: 按 “OK”

13.4 Download vApps from catalog | 由目录下載 vApps

Step 1: Go to Catalogs > vApps Templates, then right click vApp and choose

“Download”

步骤 1: 开启目录 > vApps 模板, 然后按右键并选取 “下載…”

Step 2: Choose destination for save the file, then click “OK”

步骤 2: 选择保存该文件的目的地, 然後按 “OK”

It will prepare to download the file.

It will show the transfer progress after the vApp is ready.

Internet Explorer:
