( Engineering / Applied ) Physics ?
Related to our Daily Life?
Related to the High-Tech Products?
The Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded jointly to John Bardeen,WilliamShockley and Walter Brattain in 1956 for their researches on semiconductors and their discovery of the transistor effect.
( Engineering / Applied ) Physics ?
The Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to Charles Hard Townes, Nicolay Gennadiyevich Basov and Aleksandr Mikhailovich Prokhorov in 1964 for fundamental work in the field of quantum electronics, which has led to the construction of oscillators and amplifiers based on the maser-laser principle.
( Engineering / Applied ) Physics ?
The Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to Zhores I. Alferov and Herbert Kroemer in 2000 for developing semiconductor heterostructures used in high-speed-and opto-electronics and the other half to Jack S. Kilby for his part in the invention of the integrated circuit.
( Engineering / Applied ) Physics ?
The Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to Charles Kuen Kao in 2009 forgroundbreaking achievements concerning the transmission of light in fibers for optical communication, and the other half to Willard S. Boyle and George E. Smith for the invention of an imaging semiconductor circuit - the CCD sensor.
( Engineering / Applied ) Physics ?
The Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded jointly to Isamu Akasaki, Hiroshi Amano and Shuji Nakamura for the invention of efficient blue light-emitting diodes which has enabled bright and energy-saving white light sources in 2014.
( Engineering / Applied ) Physics ?
The Nobel Prize in Physics 2018 was awarded "for groundbreaking inventions in the field of laser physics" Arthur Ashkin "for the optical tweezers and their application to biological systems", Gérard Mourou and Donna Strickland "for their method of generating high-intensity, ultra-short optical pulses."
