人が人を育てる、北海道教育大学。

北海道教育大学は、4つの師範学校を前身とし、昭和24年、道内5都市（札幌、旭川、釧路、函館、岩見

沢）に5つのキャンパスをもつ教員養成大学として出発し、以来半世紀余にわたり教育界を中心に数多くの

人材を送り出してきた。

教員養成課程においては、教師を高度に専門的な職業人と捉え、理論と実践の往還を実現するカリキュラ

ム改革により、高い倫理観と実践的指導力を備えた教員養成に重点を置くとともに、グローバルな視野と高

度なコミュニケーション力を有する教員養成を目指していく。

また、全国の大学に先駆けて「新課程」を改組し、地域社会の強いニーズに応えて、新たに「国際地域

学科」と「芸術・スポーツ文化学科」を設置した。

北海道教育大学は、教員養成の拠点大学として、教師はもとより、豊かな国際感覚をもって、あるいは、

芸術やスポーツを通じて、地域活性化を推進する人材を輩出していく。

教　育

● グローバルな視野と高度なコミュニケーション力を含む幅広い教養と、現代の学校教育現場の多様な課題に対応できる鋭敏な人間観察力、豊かな人間性並びに専門的能力を培い、北海道の地域特性を生かした教育実践を創造的に展開する教師を養成する。●地域学を構成する学問領域の探究を深めるとともに、豊かな国際感覚と語学力をもち、地域を活性化できる人材を育成する。● 芸術・スポーツの専門性を高め、地域の多様なニーズに応えるための活動を市民とともに実践し、地域の健康と文化振興に貢献できる人材を育成する。

研　究

●教育諸科学をはじめとするあらゆる研究分野における理論的研究と実践的研究を融合的に深める。●より高度化し複雑化する現代の諸課題に対応し、先進的かつ学際的研究を推進するとともに、その成果を地域に還元する。

社会貢献

●北海道における学術・文化・教育の創造を推進する拠点として、地域社会に有益な情報を発信し、広く学びの場を提供する。●グローバル化の進む現代社会において、信頼される教師と地域人材を世に送り出すとともに、海外を含む他の大学や諸機関と連携し、国際社会に貢献する。

先進の人間教育教育の活動は、人が育ち成長することへの飽くことなき関心と情熱から始まる。北海道教育大学の教育は、現代の人間と子どもについての先進的で深い知見と体験を根底に置き、人を育てることの喜びと尊さの自覚を不断に醸成する。

行動する教養21世紀の社会と教育は、文理

融合の複合的な教養、他者と積極的に関わり共存する柔軟な人間性を求めている。そのためには、芸術やスポーツを含めた多様な実践と体験に基づく、豊かで、社会に広がりをもつ人間性の育成が不可欠である。北海道教育大学の教育は、創造し行動する教養を旗印として現代の教養教育を展開する。

高い志の涵養教育には、人のために生きる

高い志が不可欠である。現代の教師には、子どもたちが抱える困難をわがこととして受け止める感受性が求められる。21世紀の地域と国際社会の諸課題への挑戦にも、同様の志が求められる。北海道教育大学の教育は、その全体を通して高い志の涵養をめざす。

北海道教育資料Material of Education in Hokkaido

昭和52年度策定「北海道教育資料収集整備計画」に基づいて収集した、北海道内の小学校及び中学校の教育現場で使用された資料。学校教育に関する研究報告、教育行政資料、教科書関係資料、学校・教育機関団体の沿革史・記念誌、教育家に関する資料、児童・生徒の文集・生活記録、本学に関する資料、僻地教育に関する資料等、約8万点。
