Abstract
This study was carried out to discuss the potential of an edible schoolyard as a key curriculum of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), and to bring carry out its further development. We have tried to develop an Edible Schoolyard Education programs for children as well as teaching aids. Also, the current situation of the practical programs for ESD was studied.The results were that, we developed and practiced two types of education programs based on the elementary school curriculum to combine English and Edible Schoolyard Education, and also Environmental Studies and Edible Schoolyard Education, and we observed the realization of the potential of the program.
