남해안 통영-사량도 동북부의 굴 양식장 주변 해역에서 2016년 6월부터

2017년 5월까지 식물플랑크톤군집의 계절 변동 및 환경특성을 조사하였다. 본

연구는 굴의 먹이생물인 식물플랑크톤의 현존량이 계절적으로 어떻게

분포하고, 그들의 현존량을 조절하는 환경인자 특성을 규명하고자 하였다.

조사 기간 동안 수온은 2월 7.54°C에서 8월 29.5°C로 변화하였고, 하계에

고수온현상이 지속되었다. 염분은 하계 집중강우와 태풍의 영향으로 31 psu

전후로 낮게 관찰되었고, 최저치는 9월에 30.68 psu로, 최고치는 5월 34.24

psu로 관찰되었다. pH는 표층에서 7.95~8.50로, 저층의 7.91~8.3보다 조금

높게 관찰되었으며, 용존산소는 pH와 유사하게 표층에서 6.0~9.45 mg L-1로

높게 나타났고, 저층에서는 하계에 5.25 mg L-1의 전후로 낮게 관찰되었다.

질산염+아질산염은 0.14 μM에서 7.66 μM로, 인산염은 0.01 μM에서 4.16

μM로, 규산염은 0.27 μM에서 20.33 μM로 각각 변화하였다. 표층 Chl. a

농도는 0.37 μg L-1에서 2.44 μg L-1로 변화하였고, 연평균 1.26 μg L-1로

관찰되었다. 식물플랑크톤 군집은 연평균 규조류가 69%로 가장 높았고,

다음으로 와편모조류가 17%, 은편모조류 10% 순으로 나타났다. 6월에는

와편모조류 P. donghaiense가 90%로 극우점하였고 , 7월은 규조류

Chaetoceros decipiens가 우점하였다 . 하계에는 Rhizosolenia setigera와

Pseudo-nitzchia delicatissima가 높게 나타났고, 추계에는 Chaetoceros spp.와

함께 은편모그룹이 점차적으로 증가하였다. 동계에는 Skeletonema spp.와

Eucampia zodiacus가 높은 밀도로 출현하였다. 결과적으로 굴 양식장주변

해역에서 계절에 관계없이 Chl. a 농도가 2.5 μg L-1 이 하로 나타났고 ,

연평균이 1.26 μg L-1로 일정하게 낮게 나타난 것은 지속적으로 여과섭식하는

굴의 성장특성 때문에 일정의 식물플랑크톤 현존량이 제어되고 있다는 것을

초록에 논문의 모든 정보를 담으려 하지 말라. 본문에 중요한 정보가 있음만을 알려라.

다른 문헌들의 고찰을 통해서 본 연구에서 해결하려는 문제를 제시한다.

Cellular senescence is an important part of aging. Cells continue proliferation until they reach a state of senescence which is thought a main reason for the decline of body function during aging. However, its molecular mechanism is poorly understood.

• 인용: 이미 다른 논문에 기술된 동일한 방법이 사용되었다면, 다시 쓰지 않을 수 있다. 그러나, 조금이라도

다름이 있다면 기술해 준다.

- Sound velocities were measured by the resonance technique described by Jonhson, et al (2007).

Briefly, a bell was placed in a liquid medium..

• 사용한 물질이 주체가 되도록 수동태로 기술한다.

- The powder was synthesized by dispersing…

• 문장은 숫자로 시작하지 않는 것이 관례이다.

따라서 했을 때 동일한 결과가 나오도록 상세히 정보를 제공한다.


동일내용의“방법” , 표절 또는 자기표절인가 ?

Q6: "If a scientist is describing a method that is used in different papers, can they use that same

5. 결과 Results

서론에서 제기한 문제의 해답, 즉, 가정에 대한 증거를 논리적으로 제시한다.

1. 좋은 논문은 좋은 results section이 기본이고, 좋은 result section은 치밀한 관찰과 그의 기술에 기초한다.

따라서, 결과 데이터에 대한 치밀한 관찰과 분석이 좋은 논문을 만들기 위한 핵심이다.

2. 결과에서 증거로 제시하는 데이터 하나하나는 그 자체가 작은 논문이다. 즉, 데이터를 설명하기 위해서는

그 실험이 실시된 이론적 배경, 그 실험을 수행한 재료와 방법, 결과의 상세한 설명, 그에 기반한 결론, 그리

고 결론의 해석 또는 의미를 군더더기 없이 기술한다.


결과 작성에서 주의할 점

1. 그림의 한 부분 한 부분을 지적하면서 결론을 치밀하고 정밀하게 제시한다.

- Telomere shortening rate was significantly reduced to 9 bp per division (Fig. 5A, lanes 4-8,

and 5B, lower box). However, as shown in Fig. 5C, the results of a TRAP assay demonstrate

that there was no activation of telomerase in the untreated cells (lanes 2 vs. 3).

2. 그림이나 표를 보지 않고 결론만을 읽어도 그 내용을 이해할 수 있게 상세해야 한다.

3. 그림 자체에 대한 설명은 results section이 아닌 figure legend (그림설명)에서 한다.

4. 여러 데이터 (figure)의 순서는 가정을 논리적으로 지지하는 순서로 배치한다. 이 배치가 잘되었을 때 논리적

으로 설득력 있는 논문이 완성된다.

5. 때로는 results가 아닌 methods section에 포함되는 것이 타당한 자료도 있다.


* 테이블과 그림 Tables and Figures

• Legend만 읽고 figure가 이해되도록 legend를 상세히.

• 사용한 symbol들은 legend에 반드시 설명하고, symbol의 사용은 일관성있게.

• 통계 데이터를 표시한다.

• 그래프에 범례를 넣을 공간이 있다면 넣되, 그림을 복잡하게 만들지 말 것.

6. 고찰 Discussion

데이터가 제시하는 결론을 포괄적으로 분석하고, 서론에서 제기한 문제와 대비해서생각해 본 후, 인류나 동료학자들에게 전달하고자 하는 메시지를 만든다.

1. 앞서 제시한 결과들을 종합적으로 정리한다.

2. 그리고, 서론에서 제기하였던 가설과 연구목적에 대비하여 종합된 결과가 제기된 가설을 얼마나 잘 지지 하는지를 논리적으로 정리한다. 그리고, 중요하게 발견된 것을 여기서 다시 기술한다.

3. 타인의 연구와 대조되는 부분과 그렇지 않은 부분을 정리한다. 이를 통해 본 연구의 가치를 스스로 평가한다.

4. 끝으로 향후 연구 방향을 제시한다. 미처 연구되지 못한 점, 지금은 해결이 어려운 부분들은 앞으로 연구되어야 할 필요성이 있다고 기술한다. 또한, 결과의 실용적 측면 또는 기대효과도 기술한다


주의점

1. Results에서 정리했던 결과를 다시 장황하게 기술하지 않도록 한다. 쓸데없이 고찰을 길게 만드는 것이다.

2. 반복 실험에서 서로 상치하는 결과가 나올 때, 이를 보고하고, 그 이유에 대해서 고찰해야 한다.

3. 논문의 주장에 상치하는 다른 논문을 언급하고 상이점의 원인에 대해서 고찰해야 한다.

4. Results에서 언급되지 않은 결과를 고찰에서 기술하면서 새로운 주장을 펴는 것은 현명한 일이 아니다.


7. 참고 문헌 References

참고문헌의 존재 이유

올바른 인용은 논문의 기본적인 윤리이자 예의이며, 또, 다음과 같은 이유에서 인용은 꼭 필요하다.

• 인용을 통해 원저자에게 그의 글과 아이디어에 대한 credit을 챙겨주는 것은 표절의 문제없이 다른 사람의 지

적재산을 사용할 수 있는 유일한 방법이다.

• 인용은 원래의 아이디어가 어디에서 유래되었고 저자의 아이디어를 더 많이 찾기를 원하는 사람들의 일을

쉽게 해준다.

• 인용문헌들을 통해 당신 연구의 타당성과 아이디어의 우수성을 과시할 수 있다.


미출판물, 개인적인 조언도 참고문헌에 인용되어야 한다.

• 이미 얻어진 미발표 데이터: … (SY Jang, unpublished data)

• 개인적인 대화나 학회에서 얻어들은 이야기: … (JS Novel, personal communication)

- 문법에 맞지 않는 문장비문(非文)

비문은 논리보다는 감상에 의존한 의사전달에 익숙한 우리의 구어체적 표현 방식의 문제이다.

그런데, 비문은 불완전하고 미숙한 생각에 기초한다. 때문에, 비문은 정확한 의사전달의 중요

성을 인식하지 못하고 있다는 인상을 주게 되며, 결과적으로 작업 전체의 의미와 중요성을 퇴

색시키는 결과를 초래한다.

저자 되기의 기본

논문저자의 자격은 무엇이 정하는가?

논문의 저자는 그 논문에 대해 공적으로 책임을 져야 한다. 논문의 투고시점에서뿐 아니라

발표된 이후에도 논문이 주장하는 발견과 가설의 과학적 진실성을 높이기 위한 검증작업이

계속 이루어진다. 이러한 과정에서 발생하는 질문과 논쟁에서 저자는 적절히 응답하거나 대

응할 수 있어야 한다.

그러기 위해서는 저자는 논문의 내용을 알고 있고, 데이터의 생산과정, 방법, 그 해석, 또, 그

가치의 타당성에 대해 논리적 견해를 제시할 수 있어야 한다. 단순히 원고에 대해 코멘트 하

거나, 실험의 목적과 의미를 깨닫지 못한 채 데이터 측정만을 해서는 이러한 역할을 하는 것

은 가능치 않을 것이다.
