IT Systems at University of Warsaw HMS (Human Management System) Application
“Progress” Database – offered by two companies: “Kalasoft” and “Softkam”:
• „Kalasoft” – the following modules: Administration, Human Resources, Wages, Social Services, Fees (non-personal costs), Calculation Sheet (costs of research);• “Softkam” – finance and accounting module, fixed capital, storage records.
A list of users outside the University of Warsaw contains 38 universities with different extent of advancement in implementation. The system has been in use since the beginning of 1996. The system has been modified according to legislators’ requirements and users’ demands. The application is accessible for approximately 200 users with various rights.
Since 2002 the other USOS (University System of Studies Administration) has been operating at the University of Warsaw.

University System of Studies Administration (USOS)
Based on “ORACLE” Database.
The system was mainly designed and programmed by the University of Warsaw.
The USOS Application comprises the whole of records of a student’s course of study, from the matriculation up to graduation and diploma supplement, i.e.:
• Information on personal data together with matriculation details • Curricula, fields of studies, specializations, subjects• Recognition of studies with credits and grades• Financial support (grants, dorms)• Matriculation numbers• Directory of certificates• Payments• On-line registration
USOS is still being implemented at the University.
