choice, and God rewarded him for his faith

to risk his life for Lot

you, not even a thread or the thong of a sandal, so that you will never be able to say, 'I made

Abram rich.' 24 I will accept nothing but what my men have eaten and the share that belongs to the

men who went with me-to Aner, Eshcol and Mamre. Let them have their share."

• Abraham waived his right to first choice of the land (13:8-9)

• Abraham waived his right to comfort and safety (14:13-17)

• Abraham refused to accept human rewards (14:22-24)

• God promised a land for him and his offspring (13:10-16)

• God sent Melchizedek to bless him (14:18-19)

• God said to him, “I am your reward.” (15:1)
