FCO ng dng:
FCO c s dng bo v qu ti v ngn mch ng dy v cc thit b trn ng dy ca h thng phn phi c cp in p t 38KV tr xung, ng ngt khng ti ng dy v trm bin p phn phi, to s cch ly an ton nhn thy c khi cn bo dng hoc sa cha li in.

phn bit full rated voltage & Slant rated voltage. 2. Dng in nh mc (rms, A): Dng in chy qua FCO lin tc m khng gy ra s gia tng nhit
vt qu gii hn cho php ca tiu chun. 3. Tn s nh mc (Hz): Tn s m FCO c thit k hot ng (thng l 50 hoc 60Hz). 4. Dng ngn mch nh mc (rms, KA): Dng ngn mch ln nht FCO ct c m khng gy ra h
hng g cho thit b. 5. Cch in nh mc: Kh nng chu c qu in p kh quyn v qu in p tn s cng nghip. Th nghim; 1. Kim tra cch in:
a) Kh nng chu c qu in p kh quyn (BIL, KV, peak): Kim tra vi xung st chun1,2/50s. Kim tra gia hai cc v gia cc vi t, xung m v xung dng. Mi tiu chun kim tra vi 5 xung nu khng xy ra phng in hoc ph hu cch in th c xem l t, nu xy ra phng in qu hai ln th cn th tip vi 9 xung na, nu khng xy ra phng in th c xem l t.
b) Kh nng chu c qu in p tn s cng nghip: Kim tra vi in p tn s cng nghip, kim tra gia hai cc v gia cc vi t, kim tra trng thi kh trong 1 pht v t trong 10s(ANSI); 1 pht (IEC). Nu khng xy ra phng in th c xem l t.
2. Kim tra s gia tng nhit : Cho dng in nh mc chy qua FCO nu nhit ti cc im nng nht (u ni dy trn v di, tip im trn v hai tip im di) khng vt qu gii hn cho php ca tiu chun th c xem l t.
3. Kim tra b c kh: ng ct khng ti thit b nhiu ln (200 ln) nu khng xy ra h hng g th c xem l t.
4. Kim tra in tr tip xc: in tr tip xc trc khi kim tra bn c kh v sau khi kim tra bn c kh khng sai bit qu 20% th c xem l t. in tr tip xc trc khi kim tra s gia tng nhit v sau khi kim tra s gia tng nhit khng sai bit qu 20% th c xem l t.
5. Kim tra kh nng ct dng ngn mch: Cho dng ngn mch nh mc chy qua thit b, sau khi ct dng ngn mch nu khng xy ra h hng g th c xem l t.
6. Kim tra chu k nhit (Thermal cycle test): 7. Kim tra kh nng chu lc ca s cch in: Cc tiu chun khc: 1. Chiu di ng r nh nht. 2. Vt liu cch in: S hoc polyme. 3. Nhit mi trng. 4. m tng i.
