Adatations of aphids to the interaction with ants were studied in the forest-park zone of the Novosibirsk Scien-tific Center in 1998-1999. Behavioral repertoires of 8 aphid species (4 obligate myrmecophilous and 4 non-myrmecophilous species) were compared. The observations and field experiments showed that the behavioralrepertoires in myrmecophilous and non-myrmecophilous aphids were very different. The behavior of theformer consists only of the elements adapted to trophobiosis that makes these species more attractive for ants.The latter possess more flexible and diverse behavior including a number of passive elements of protectionagainst enemies, which allow them to avoid attack.
