DESCRIPTIONRakshavac-T is meant for prevention of Theileriosis caused by Theileria annulata incrossbred and exotic cattle. Rakshavac-T contains live schizonts grown in lymphoblastcell culture, attenuated by prolonged in-vitro passage. Attenuated schizonts do notproduce the clinical disease. Immunised cattle can withstand the attack of infectedticks for a period of three years. In areas where the vaccinated animals are constantlyexposed to tick bites, the immunity is constantly boosted and hence the immunity isconferred for life time. Where the animals are maintained in tick free condition, revaccination every 3 years is recommended.

ADMINISTRATIONRemove the vial from liquid nitrogen container and thaw the vaccine concentrate inlukewarm (37oC) water. Transfer the thawed vaccine concentrate using a sterile needleand syringe to the corresponding vaccine diluent vial and mix gently. The reconstitutedvaccine should be injected subcutaneously through an area f clean dry skin withprecautions taken against contamination. The recommended site for inoculation ismidneck region.
