Kumköy-Side

Kumköy is the most famous resort of Side. There are many hotels, restaurant, bars, cafes in the centre of Kumköy.

Kumköy is in the Council of Ilica Municipality. Ilica Mayor has just launched the new recreation plan of the Kumköy Beach and the Shopping area.

The plan is financially supported by World Bank. The new Kumköy`s recreation plan will be started 2010 October officially and it will be ready by mid 2011.

Kumköy Recreation Project

Around 4 Km2 area will be recreated by Ilica Council. The Project will be started in October 2010 and it will be finished mid 2011.

The Project includes new pedestrian road, new car road, new shopping and bazaar areas, new buildings for shops, café, restaurants, bars, there will be water features, parks, and beach park which is 3 km long.

The Recreation Project is financially supported by the World Bank.
