Ramp/Airfield and Terminal.

Indra solutions provides modularity,operability and scalability. Thesesolutions are adaptable to differentrequirements, offering solutions forGreenfield, expansion, existing airportprojects, as well as multiple airportnetworks.

Indra’s Terminal systems includeIntegrated Security System (ISS)comprising all security related systems.

ISS general description

The purpose of the ISS system is to identifypotential risk situations in order to avoidintrusions. In case of unauthorized access,

the system analyzes causes, mistakesand intruder identification. ISS providessecurity and operations surveillancecoverage through video recording camerasand intelligent surveillance systems. Theintegration and coordination of the securitysystems includes: Closed Circuit Television(CCTV) surveillance, Access Control (ACS) andPerimeter Security (PS).ISS is a modular system, allowing the airportto acquire strictly the required modulesfacilitating the systems architecturesimplification and reducing investment.

Monitoring and Control Video System(CCTV) Provides Image capture in diverse

environments and presentation in theestablished clients. Including CCTV cameras,recorders, video monitors, etc.

Access Control System (ACS)Provides access control for the staff andvehicles to the airport restricted areas.Includes different types of magnetic cards,readers, sensors, etc.A differentiating factor of Indra Securitysystems is their independence from particularmodels or suppliers of HW, whilst beingcompatible with any and in compliance withmarket standards.

Perimeter securityControl of critical security area between Air-side and Land-side.

Features and Benefits

• Adaptability to any COTS HW throughan Indra proprietary abstraction layer ableto interface and deal with the complexityof the different vendor devices (i.e. easesintegration of legacy devices with newinterfaces for pure IP HW or HW add-ons forold analogical HW).

• Centralized events collection for theSystem but distributed CCTV & ACSmanagement and control (i.e. a failure inone single element does not affect the restof the system).

• Complete information system: events onone system can generate actions on theother (i.e. a door forced event in ACS maystart a recording of a specific camera in theCCTV).• Users profile capabilities through thedefinition of grants, blocks and privileges

(i.e. each operator has its own profile,defining devices to be controlled andoperations to be done).

ISS Deployment Advantages• A single supply integrating the mostcommon devices for the airport controlsecurity environment, guaranteecompatibility and cooperation, takingadvantage of the latest technicaltendencies in individual components, aswell as integration.• Central environment managementcombined with zone segmentation, to localcontrol and monitoring. ISS main characteristics• Identity Manager System. It allows a

unique user identification in a desktop forthe whole system (single sign on).

• Integrated Monitoring. It allows thegrouping of alarms and events bygeographical areas.

• Events & Actions Engine. Allowingconfiguration of events and actions overthe system elements.

ACS & Perimeter• Access control for staff and vehicles to

• This system has full adaptability to HWprovided by any supplier (cards, readers,sensors, cameras, etc.).

ISS system

• Perimeter Control System encompassesperimeter control and the surveillance ofairport areas. Includes several sensors whichcan advise the operator of events occurringin the airport.

CCTV• Allows Image capture in diverse

environments and presentation in theestablished clients. Including CCTVcameras, recorders, video monitors, etc.

  - Uses an IP network. Encoding capabilitiesare real-time and based in DCT or DWTalgorithms

  - Simplified video signal distribution topotential clients (through Wi-Fi, Internet, …)

  - Video display capability in differentdevices (PC, PDA, TV,..) without specialsoftware installation

  - Optimized use of communicationsinfrastructure. Several clients for onecamera, only one flow

  - Simplified record and play featuresimplementation and deploy

• Allows Videowall integration enabling theoperator to send any videowall-supportedcameras to those devices.• Intelligent image processing is availablewith the CCTV system. Thus imagesrecorded can be used to trigger differentactivities (i.e. starting a recording whena motion detection algorithm detectsmovement.

ISS modules• Core: The core module includes all the

CCTV-related features listed on thisbrochure.

• ACS: Add Access Control System featuresto the core module, to obtain a fullyintegrated CCTV and ACS system.

• Perimetral:  Increases the system abilitiesprovided with perimetral information.

• Reports: Generate professional reportsbased on data maintained by the system,on formats including PDF, RTF or DOC.

• External Systems Integration: Connectthe CCTV system to any other systeminside your infrastructure.

Security solutions have been deployedby Indra in many sectors during thelast decade. These systems range fromACS systems to complex integratedsystems combining all security areas. Thisexperience is summarised in the followingpoints:• CCTV at new Terminal 1in Barcelona airportfor security, operations and maintenance.
