Secondary Analysis using Big Data
Places visited are characteristically different depending on the nationality of the guest.Dissemination of Chinese guests is generally focused around Kyoto, Osaka and Kobe areas with few visits to rural areas. In contrast, American and Australian guests visit the same areas but also travel to Nara, Himeji, Wakayama and also Wakayama’s Koya Mountain.

Due to the actions of the Yodogawa Aquatic Group, the unforeseeable damage the Katsuragawa embankment collapse due to Typhoon No.18 was avoided in 2013.

Maruyama River: With the stork from revitalization to symbiosis
Maruyama River, as the last habitat for the nationally revered wild stork in Japan, receives continual support to further restoration. When expanding waterways for the sake of water improvement, digging the riverbed to be shallow and wide contributes greatly to the return of the stork to the wild.
