제3회 과학기술혁신과 개발 국제컨퍼런스

과학기술정책연구원(STEPI)은 세계은행 한국사무소(World Bank Group Korea Office)와 공동

으로 ‘제3회 과학기술혁신과 개발(STI and Development) 국제컨퍼런스’를 9월 6일과 7일

양일간 개최합니다.

본 컨퍼런스에는 고려대학교 기술경영전문대학원(MOT), 국제지역학회, 산업클러스터학회,

서울대학교 국제IT정책과정(ITPP), 적정기술학회, 한국산업기술진흥원(KIAT), 한국생산성학회 및

UN ESCAP 동북아사무소가 파트너 기관으로 참여합니다.

올해는 ‘공동번영을 위한 혁신 (Innovation for Shared Prosperity)’이라는 주제 하에 ‘클러스터,

산업화 및 지역발전(Cluster, Industrialization and Regional Development) ’에 대해 논의

할 예정입니다.

클러스터(Cluster)는 ‘지리적 집합을 통한 지식 및 자원공유의 극대화를 위한 유관기관들의 집합체’

로서, 한국의 경우에는 산업단지, 연구단지 그리고 테크노파크가 시대별로 산업화 및 경제발전에

있어 중추적인 역할을 담당해 왔습니다. 이와 같은 한국의 경험은 클러스터 육성을 통해 산업화를

촉진하려는 개발도상국에게 유용한 벤치마킹(benchmarking) 사례가 될 수 있을 것입니다.

이에 본 컨퍼런스에서는 산업화와 지역발전에 있어서 클러스터의 역할과 산-학-연 협력의 중요성을

다시금 확인하고자 합니다. 성공사례와 노하우의 공유뿐 아니라 실패사례로부터의 시사점까지

공유하고 한국과 파트너 국가들 간의 협력방안을 심도 있게 논의하고자 합니다.

과학기술 그리고 혁신뿐만 아니라 ODA를 중심으로 한 국제개발협력 및 산업발전에 관심 있는

많은 분들의 참석을 바랍니다.
