Innovaya Visual Estimating Generating Quantities in Seconds
What You See is What You Estimate!
Supporting Building Information Models (BIM) such as Autodesk Revit or ADT, Innovaya Visual Estimating, a solution suitable for both designers and builders, generates object quantities automatically and performs cost estimating accurately and quickly with either R. S. Means or any custom Sage Timberline database. It can increase the efficiency of the project estimating process by more than 300%.

EasytoUse Complete BIM Estimating Solution Whether you are a designer or savvy cost estimator, you will find Visual Estimating extremely easy to use, especially with features such as dragging & dropping quantities to cost items. Visual Estimating is an application that provides the functions for the entire estimating process and workflow, i.e. reviewing design in 3D BIM, takingoff object quantities from BIM, and estimating BIM objects with a cost database, all in one place. With this innovative BIM software, your estimating projects will be much more productive and efficient than ever before.
Automatic Quantity Extraction Visual Estimating generates object quantities directly from a BIM model in a matter of seconds. Quantity extraction methods are easily customized and reusable for all future projects. The quantities can be organized by different classifications such as CSI or Uniformat, and they are automatically linked with the design objects which can be viewed in 3D. Finally, these quantities can be colorcoded and exported to MS Excel or be used to perform cost estimating within the program.
BIM Estimating with No Premappings Required Visual Estimating performs cost estimating using either R. S. Means or any custom Timberline database, while it doesn’t require any premappings. Most CADestimating software requires premappings between design objects and cost items. This manual process has been proven to be ineffective because it requires tremendous time before estimating can be started. It is also often difficult to predict and standardize design object types, resulting in broken links. With Visual Estimating, BIM quantities can be dragged and dropped directly to cost assemblies. Therefore, whenever you have a Revit model, for example, you can start estimating right away. The system also automatically records the associations between object types and cost databases while the estimating takeoff is performed. Consequently, future projects can be automatically takenoff into estimates with little manual process – huge potential time savings!
Powerful and Flexible Reporting Capabilities Visual Estimating generates estimates directly to Timberline which supports powerful reporting capabilities, with a fully customizable Crystal addon. Both object quantities and estimates can also be exported into MS Excel. All these reporting tools are all highly configurable and reused as standards for future projects.
Intelligent Change Management In Visual Estimating, object quantities and resulting estimate items are all automatically inter connected. When the design is changed, Visual Estimating can display changed 3D objects in different colors, new quantities can then be updated, and the estimate can be adjusted. Because cost assemblies from a database can be easily dragged and dropped to design objects to calculate costs, the designer can use a cost database to dynamically configure design options in front of the client to work with project budget constraints.
Interactive 3D Visualization and Communication With its robust 3D engine, Visual Estimating provides high performance of 3D navigation and realtime walkingthrough. Objects are selectable and interactive, and their visibility and transparency can be adjusted. The ‘whatyouseeiswhatyouestimate’ approach shows object cost status in colors, assuring the accuracy of estimates. The software also supports a set of communication functions such as graphical markups and emailing.
