Parallel Lines•Two lines are parallel if they lie in the same plane and do not intersect.•The lines on the sheet music are parallel. If the lines on sheet music were not parallel it would make reading it extremely difficult.

Two Congruent Objects

•Two congruent objects are objects that have identical measures in sides and angles.•If the keys were not congruent it would increase the difficulty of playing. Your fingers would have to stretch out more or stick closer together and you would hit more wrong notes.

Vertical Angles•Vertical angles are two angles whose sides form two pairs of opposite rays.•The strings create vertical angles. This was created so that the piano would conserve on space. 5

Perpendicular Lines•Perpendicular lines are lines that intersect and form right angles.•The lid is perpendicular to the support pole. The lid would not stay held up and the sound would not be transmitted properly with the lid closed.

Intersecting Lines•Two lines that intersect at a point.•There are many intersecting lines here. Without them you would not be able to create a music desk.

Supplementary Angles•Two angles are supplementary if the sum of their measures is 180.•There are two angles created by the leg. They need to be supplementary in order to keep the piano from falling.

Corresponding Angles•Corresponding angles lie on the same side of the transversal t and in corresponding positions relative to l and m.•The corresponding angles are very important. If the angles were not corresponding then the music would be difficult to read. 9

• the side lying between a specified angle and a right angle in a right-angled triangle.

Reflection

• I believe I deserve an A for my report. Mostly because it is neat, everything is spelled correctly, and it has all the information needed. I also put a fair amount of time into it.
