International Student Services Parent Newsletter

AXIS is a ministry that helps schools and churches. Their Mission

is to empower the next generation to think clearly and to build a

lifelong faith in Jesus Christ; and to resource parents to disciple

their children. Their Strategy is to bring families together by

bridging the generation gaps, and focus on long-term disciple-

ship via the family, the church and schools. Their Future is to

reach discipleship content on a digital platform to parents,

grandparents and teenagers.

CCHS sponsored an AXIS Session for both the students and par-

ents, and they were very beneficial.

During Chapel, the Drama Club had a special performance for the student body and special guests. Alrus Cui, Jenny Gao and Daisy Wen were hilarious in their comedy skid DMV Tyrant. Angela Liu played Ophelia and William Xie played Hamlet as they enacted one of the scenes from Hamlet by Shake-

speare. CCHS Chorale also performed. 在小礼拜上，戏剧班的同学为特别

來宾和全校师生们准备了一场精彩的表演。崔桐瑶(Alrus Cui)、高玥明

(Jenny Gao)和文桐(Daisy Wen)同学表演了一场发生在车管所的喜剧。

另外一幕是出自莎士比亚(Shakespeare)著名作品之一哈姆雷特

(Hamlet)。刘诗琳同学(Angela Liu)饰演欧菲莉雅，谢志维同学

(William Xie)饰演哈姆雷特(Hamlet)，他们的演出好评如潮。学校诗歌

班也为大家带来了诗歌表演。

Axis 是一个专注于学校和教会事工的的基督教机构。

他们的使命是帮助 21 世纪数字化时代的年轻人构建

一个清晰的思维，并建立一生与耶稣基督的信仰。同

时他们也为家长提供一些资源来管教他们的子女。

他们的策略是希望透过家庭的和睦来减小代沟，并

通过家庭、教会和学校来培养有信仰的下一代。

主办方 CCHS 为学生和家长开设了不同的专场，两组

专场探讨的侧重点不一样，让学生和家长受益匪浅。

Students gathered to-gether to attend the October ISS Meeting. After a few announce-ments, the students were treated with Tea Leaf Eggs and Hot Chai Tea.

The annual International Student Services (ISS) BBQ was once again held at Alameda's Shoreline Park with a total of 84 people in attendance. The food table was overflowing with delicious BBQ with dessert treats provided by guardi-ans and staff. Pumpkin carving, relay races, volleyball & badminton followed lunch. A fun day for all and a great way to start the new school year!

CCHS is moving along in the process to purchase 25 acres in Oakland. The beautiful campus has 5 existing buildings and plans to renovate and build a new building are in the design phase. The eventual plan is to build a new gym, science labs, classrooms and student housing. Our projected move in date is the fall of 2016, barring any delays. Financing will be raised via capital

gifts, EB-5 investments, conventional loans, and bonds. Exciting times! Pray that God will bring supporters to walk alongside us.

一年一度的留学生生活部（ISS）野餐再次在阿拉米

达的海岸公园举行。野餐总共有 84 人参加。野餐桌

子上摆满了美味可口的烧烤和甜点美食。食完了午

餐，同学们分成为四组来一场友谊竞争，比赛包括

南瓜雕刻，接力赛，排球和羽毛球。最后还有颁奖

典礼。大家都玩得很开心。

华人基督教高中正在购置一块 25英亩

(约 10 万平米）的校址。新的校园位于

奥克兰(Oakland)市， 其前身为一所神

学院。校园环境优美，现有五座楼宇。

学校计划将这些楼宇翻新，并投资加建新的体育馆、科学实验室、更多的教室和学

生公寓。倘若没有任何延迟，学校目标在 2016 学年伊始搬迁。校方将透过捐资、

EB-5 移民投资、银行贷款和债券的方式为新校园融资。这真是振奋人心！求神兴

起更多支持我们的人士一同来达成这个目标。
